View Full Version : RAF should be reclassified and given a warning!

Just like other drugs out there, the RAF exp bonus should be reclassified and given a Class A+ rating. This has got to be worse than withdrawal from any drug out there :)
On a serious note, I've levelled all I want from my RAF now and still have it until April, but I was wondering about quests in the Outlands, I'm looking at it and getting a little worried that I may run out? So much so, that I've actually tortured myself with a few collection quests. It hurt a lot. But I'd rather do a few, than find I'm a short of 68 when I run out of kill quests.

Well, I guess Outland contain a few instances aswell if you run out of quests.

The decreased the amount of XP you need to get from 60 to 70 by %30. You won't run out of quests!

I wish I could be more help, but the teams I leveled through Outland are either able to kill with a couple of instant casts (affliction locks + priest) or can kill pretty quickly anyway (balance druids) or could level in instances (my mixed group). I did a little bit of grinding on a couple of the teams and I've waited to do quests in Terrokar and on until my mixed group hit 70 (instance leveling). Overall, if you're doing some collection quests that are just too rough with the drop rates, find a location where you can drop the mobs pretty quickly since that will likely help you out more than the quest (again, depending on the quest).

I RaF levelled a paladin to 58 and then went to Outland. I did Hellfire, Zangarmarsh, Terrokar and handful of quests in Nagrand and dinged 68 just from that. You really don't have to worry about running out of quests (I was getting +10% XP from hierloom shoulders).

He's asking about group leveling, not solo.

Thanks for the info, all. I'm almost done with Hellfire now and level 62 on my DK's, so I was just worrying for nothing it seems. More quests up there than I realised and it's bringing in some easy cash, so I can buy mounts for my shaman team, so they can keep up with the pally tank :D

Im sure it would be a lot of work, but it kinda surprises me someone hasn't gone in and just made a list of quests in each zone that are MB friendly.

I have thought about this, mate. I know that ELBA made a great RAF guide for tourguide from 1-60 and I know that Suvega has done an Alliance 68-80 guide. I'm going to look into how they made these guides and possibly make one for Horde 60-68 and then 68-80. It's just a thought at the moment, but I have a good few teams that are sitting at 80, so it's possible. Hell, I may even be tempted to roll Alliance *spits* on another server to do a 60-68 guide. Just remember this, I'm not an addon coder, so this may just be a pipe dream :)
EDIT: Ok, a little while later, once again another stupidly late night. Almost 5am *Shrugs* I'm still unsure that I won't run out of quests, I've just finished Zangarmarsh and am now heading into Terrokar Forest, normally, solo, I'm well into 64 by now. But the DK team has only managed to get 10% of the way in to 63. I'm recording the run though, just in case. Then I can use the info to put the guide together ...

If I was solo, I would be at level 66 now, but I'm going in as 64, so a good way behind, but, there are a good few quests coming that I would miss if solo, due to groups being needed.
There's always BEM, SMV, and Netherstorm if you dont make it to 68 by the time you finish Nagrand.
Oh, and make sure to do the Ring of Blood quests in Nagrand asap, theres a great axe reward for DKs.

by the time you hit 68, you'll probably have about two zones undone.
you will also want to run your guys through instances just for some nice quest rewards and to complete some quests. that's if you really want to.

Also, if you're really sore about not quite making 70 before you're done with the Outlands quests that can be finished with a multibox team, you could rest up and run lower level instances while you're 66-68. The mobs are still green to you then, but you'll want the rested XP I mention. I say do it this way since your team might not be instance-worthy yet and the Blood Furnace (just as an example) is a cakewalk if you're a few levels higher. Nothing screwy in there at all. After that, pick up with the questing. There's enough to go around, but it's still pretty rough. I think you'll be able to do it, though.
As an aside, I can appreciate the toughness of this situation. My mixed group is just hitting Northrend (despite being 72 before arriving since I instance-leveled in TBC content and then did all the kill and group quests from Terrokar on up). I didn't think there was enough quest XP to quite get me to 72, but it worked out just fine. Missing a large part of the XP from kills is a major blow to the group. I guess that's what the instances are for, but dang. I wish Blizzard would stop punishing grouping for what is generally considered solo content. The collection quests aren't even the root of the problem here, but they certainly contribute to it.
Grouping makes the questing go by so much faster for the most part and I don't get why Blizzard wants to punish people for cooperating - especially in such an environment where there isn't going to be loot drama or anything.

My DK's are at 65.5 now and for the most part, having no problems with quests. I'm just about to leave Nagrand now, after finishing all of the quests that didn't involve questing. I even had a go at The ring of blood, managed the first round but The Blue Brothers just ripped through my team, so I will call back there at a higher level, or after dropping a DK and slotting a priest into his slot.

Check again; I'm pretty sure Suvega put up an Outland guide for 58-70 (I could be wrong, I haven't checked in about a week). At the very least, Outland is probably the best place you can get away with using the Alliance guide since the only difference (for the most part) will be where your hearth is.
Would it be worthwhile to do some solo griniding on each character just to get their levels up a bit; then go back to multiboxing? Or, finish off Nagrand, then go back solo and do the quests you ignored...?
