Rob, I love your work, but those strange little glitches still make me cry out in shock/rage/frustration sometimes...
Just killed the second boss in Slave Pens and hit shift-= (my key bind for drinking) on my main PC, which sent ctrl-= to my 3 slaves on my second PC, which is their key binding for hearth, and then no following keystrokes to interrupt the hearth were sent through ;( and so I'm now running all three back to the instance from Thrallmar.
No real meaning for this post, just venting frustration as they make their way back. Keep up the good work, hope you're keeping well 8)

sorry to hear that. (i know i'd be 'frustrated' if it happened to me)
are you using a keymap? do you have anything tied to just = ? are you using v1.8k? v1.8l?

There's an "L"?
Does this take care of the Right/Left Alt/Ctrl issues? (please please please tell me it does)
Going to look for it.
(should shoot an email to registered purchasers so they know when the upgrades come out)

(should shoot an email to registered purchasers so they know when the upgrades come out)KeyClone pops up with a message on start when there's a new release. He's talking a beta I think. :P

Thanks Chranny :)
But I am not using it because of the bug, I am using a different program so I can use the left/right ctrl/alt buttons in my macros. So if I miss a post here about it I won't know.
I guess I could fire it up every so often and see if it says there's a fix yet.

Hi Rob,
No keymap, nothing bound to just =, running version 1.8k passing all keystrokes except for WASD and Numlock. Have you had something like this happen before?

no, i have not seen ctrl+<key> pass instead of shift+<key>... that just doesn't make any sense.
are you using any special keyboard? xkeys or G15? any usb keyboard stuff?

No, just running a Gigabyte USB keyboard. The funny thing to me is that the two instances of WoW on my main PC received the shift-=, while the other three received ctrl-=
I'm not worried about this as it hasn't happened before or since, but I'll be certain to let you know if it happens again at any point.

Speaking of "arrrgh", I'm still getting alt as the one and only modifier to every hotstring passed when alt was in the original keybinding. Shift and control work fine, but alt is a consistent problem for me in 1.8k. It means I can't use keybindings like alt-1 to send hotstrings.

the alpha, v1.8l, is available here ('http://solidice.com/keyclone/gurb') . it's not the next release, which i'm still noodling with.
and yes, being able to distinguish between left and right alt is on the list

for whatever reasons I am reluctant to use any modifier keys with keyclone, I would suggest setting everything up without the use of shift alt or ctrl. Macaroon will let you easy bind keys to macros which should take up the slack, and you can set up macros so that if your mouse is over the target it does things different then if its not, although macaroon no longer seems supported ...
