Top 20, I'm back!~ and I'm stronnngggerr than eva before !! dum dum... ya you get the point.

So many teams now run double healer / triple dps - which makes life so much easier. There hasn't been a game since 3.0.8 that I felt I couldn't win which is superb! because pre patch eye gouging was considered a better option!

I'm thinking about remaking the team since it's supposedly easier to gain the rating once you've been up there to get rid of this nasty win/loss record I have, 68% just doesn't look good when I have almost 80% win rate after the patch :) I guess it's all about perception.

You might as well keep the same team.

The whole point of them changing this system is because they want a 50% win ratio once you reach your max HR. So you are really doing yourself a disservice by starting over. Those teams that have a high win ratio like 45-9 means they played before these changes and have not played since. So even if you started over and went 30-0 up to your current 1940 HR, You would then be harshly penalized for losses and gaining 0-4 wins and 20+ losses since you cant win them all. Until eventually you had a 50-60% win rate.

I guess if you just wanted to get to 2k to get a nice win ratio if you just planned on stopping there, but over time when you reach you max HR it evens out.

That's great to see that it's totally possible.

Currently, I've been struggling since WOTLK to barely maintain a 1500 rating, however I haven't taken arenas that serious as I either do them with all 5 of my shammys or sub in a real life friend / resto druid. I'm finally capped with all the welfare pvp gear and now need some ratings in order to upgrade gear, so I want to start playing a little more serious.

I'd like to hear more about your choice of using a paladin over the other healing classes and some strategies that you are using. In addition, what glyphs are you using?

The biggest issue that I have is my starting location on the various maps. It seems like ring of valor is the only map that I have a chance to get all my totems put down before I'm being zerged. I have a hard enough time just getting to a location that doesn't pin me down and usually by the time I drop my first set of totems, I already have the opposition on top of me. Blades edge, I typically try to get on the start of the bridge, but if they are all mounted and charging in, I'm lucky if I can get my first set of totems out before they are on top of me. Should i not worry about my starting location and just set up my totem farm in the default starting positions?

The worse teams I've faced have multiple mages or multiple hunters where they pillar hump by continually shoot off instant casts and then move back out of LoS so that I can rarely ever get off a CL, LB or LvB. I'm curious how you over come this, as these matches are by far the most frustrating ones.

Standard rule of thumb is to drop all your totems in the starting area in case of a rush, besides that a paladin prevents a rush on several maps with crusader aura allowing you to get there very fast. I really don't have that issue with people rushing me, it's usually a mistake on their part. I have the opposite problem where they don't want to attack me :)

Paladins overall are just incredibly synergistic with our combo, from the concentration aura to the bop to the biggest one of all Bubble! , their heals hit really hard, beacon of light is amazing and the holy light glyph is superb.

Ellay could we get a shot of your UI and macros by chance?

Currently im setup on the FTL system and starting to level my shamans again after a long move, id mostly like to see your key placements and bindings to see If something hits me in the head like "why didnt I think of that" you know ? lol.
And a UI shot helps to show your placement and maybe some addons that are good that I may have overlooked.

I still remember the extremely bitter players from last season, who kept griping that Ellay went with multiboxing because he was so horrible solo, and that they beat his shaman team 28 times out of 32 games (while ignoring people who pointed out that Ellay only had 15 losses at that point).

Nope, I've actually received 0 tells this season. I think mostly because players know exactly what it is now days and see it all over.

One of my arch nemesis back on Reckoning BG is on the same server with me Megatf , now megatflol . Were not really arch nemesis anymore since were on the same side - but I had the pleasure of facing off against him this season. Didn't get any footage though, but I went 4-1. I hope to play them more :)

I can see about getting a shot of my ui, it's pretty simple :P

thats what it looks like, there is a couple teams ahead of me that are dead and don't exist but that's ok. Top 20 is a good marker wherever I fall in it~

What I'm very interested in is your formation for arenas, do you keep your guys together all in AoE range or do you split them up to keep from getting bladestorm'd and D&D'ed? not to mention the myriad of other AoE's... and if you split them up do you do it from the get go or do you wait to see if there's AoE incoming?

It's more or less instinctively, and varies from game to game. Not sure how to explain I just kind of wing it :)

Do you have tonnes of binds for different totems? Or A single key for a set using castsequence (excluding things like grounding, earth bind..)
How do you use fire nova totem ( i see you have talents..) is it worth taking?

Most importantly.. at what point did you start to not feel like you were getting insta-gibbed?

I hit 80 3 weeks ago and have been doing nothing but heroics, my pally tank is now allmost all epicced, and my shamys are 3/5 savage and I'm about to hit BG/wintergrasp so I'm really keen to clue up about it all. After all it is why i started doing this !! 300 resil @ 15k hp really feels so squishy.

What do you think about the whole insta-gib pvp situation in general? Do you hope / think something should be done like with the amount of HP people are limited to compared to damage coming out, or the effect of resilience? Is 800 or what ever you have enough?

I got rofl stomped by a team last night :) I'm stubborn and refuse to stop playing, so I lost 10 games in a row to them. Everything else I played after that team was a joke though - still working on ways to find a weakness in the comp, and me and my teammate put together a few tactics - just need to actually match up against them again to get it going.

Aelli I noticed one of your toons is resto and the other 3 are elemental. I have a 5 box with the same setup (1 resto, 4 elemental). My question which one is the main, the elemental toon or the resto toon? This would affect how you heal etc. I imagine.

If you don't want to pass out you secrets i can understand that, but it may really help people to review some of your stuff to see what things we missed that you have caught onto.

LIke combinging certains spells onto keys, what you have bound to single guys if anything, the placement of spells along the bar (for access and such) it would be most appreciated.
