OK, so don't kill the messenger, but I think what he's trying to say is that you want to use "your"(possessive pronoun), not "you're" (contraction for you are). :)

I also am curious why you think disabling the page file would help performance. If you are actually using the page file, meaning you are swapping, and you disable it, things are going to start crashing, no? I think a better solution is to have the swap file and the wow directory (or any other disk intensive application directory, actually) on separate disks.

This. Like Bob said, if you're paging, you need the page file or worse things happen to your computer. If you're having trouble with framerates due to paging, upgrade your RAM.
Upgrading you're ram does not help you're paging :)
You're paging file is a allocation of virtual memory that use's you're hard disk rather then you're physical ram.
I am paging file? I am hard disk? I am physical ram?? Watch what you're saying. Some people might be insulted if you call them a paging file.
I think you missed the part where Bob mentioned that "you're" is a contraction for "you are".
I think you missed the topic title, did it say "Perfect Grammer 101" ??

You're / your:
If you look at writing "you're" in a sentence, see what that sentence looks like if you break it into its meaning: "you are." If that doesn't make sense, use "your."
In your above post, you're saying:
"Upgrading you are ram does not help you are paging."
"You are paging file is a (an) allocation of virtual memory that uses (no ') you are hard disk rather then (than) you are physical ram.
Sorry, but proper use of 2nd grade English gives credibility to your thread. I've never seen it used incorrectly with such consistency in such a small block of words.

FFS lay off the grammar nazi role please. This isn't a typo we're dealing with, it's someone who has two words (your and you're) mixed up, and it makes for confusing reading.
As for the Windows pagefile, in previous versions of Windows you could get a small performance boost by setting the min/max sizes to the same amount, thus creating a fixed page file that would not be dynamically resized. I do not know if Windows XP/Vista gain a performance advantage from doing this or not. However, saying "I do this and my computers work great" is just anecdotal evidence. My pagefiles are at their default settings and my systems work great as well.

Nazi is a proper noun and therefore should capitalized.

It's one thing to make a grammatical error. It's another thing to continue making the error after several people point it out.

It's quite another thing to keep pointing out the same error after several people have asked you to drop it. Have you encountered any of Skuggo's posts? :)
