I can't seem to kill these Dark Runners in Darkshire. My team is level 23 (pally, 3x mages, priest). They're level 28-29. I have no clue how I managed to kill the Shadow Weavers (their level 28 to), but anyone got any advice on how to kill them? This is like the only kill quest I've got left unless there's some more I'm not seeing.

You're going to have trouble hitting anything that many levels above you. Try a different zone to get some new quests and then come back. Auberdine? No way you should run out of quests at that level.

Are they mostly kill quests over there though? I really hate having to collect items on my alts. It wouldn't matter if I had another screen to have them bigger on. But right now it's to small to even remotely see stuff unless I get within an inch of it.

the quest was designed so you come back later. these are the guys inside the tower, correct? just level to 30 elsewhere. come back if you have time. its not that terrible if you skip it.

People emphasize kill quests (at the appropriate level) because they're easy.
Attempting content too high level for your characters is about as annoying as collection quests.
You don't have to limit yourself to kill quests. Rather than gouge your eyes out killing near-impossible mobs, why not gouge your eyes out doing a couple collection quests so you can actually earn some XP while you're at it?
Maybe some instances if you're opposed to collection quests? Not all collection quests have sucky drop rates.

The reason I'm more not wanting to do any collection quests is because of my setup. It's near impossible for me to see my 4 alts screens to collect items.
I saw a couple in Wetlands, so I'm gonna head there. Also, is it true that Horde characters have more kill quests in one area than Alliance? Because it seems I've been going back and forth a LOT over here.

Try instances -- kill XP is still greater, even if you slightly outlevel the instance, as long as you can actually kill the mobs.
Sorting zones by level ('http://www.wowhead.com/?zones#0+2+1') also helps give you an idea of where you can find more quests.

So, you think I should give Deadmines a try? Or should I try blackfathom depths since it's for 20-27 and I'm currently level 23 on my team.

Since you're already nearby, try doing the quests involving Deadmines and see how you like leveling in an instance. (hint: /ffa)
If you like it and you don't have too much trouble in Deadmines, head to something higher level and see how it goes.
The good thing about instances is that the group penalty on XP is less since the elites there are tuned for 5-person groups, and give much better kill XP.

Wow if he hates collection quests now wait till outlands and then north rend woohoo. Your eyes and mind are going to go insane. I did every single quest in grizzly hills so i know what to miss next time and holy cow is there a lot of collection quests. I think griz hills had more collection quests then al of wow combined. So basically get use to it. Also, if your alts screens are so small you can barely see use maximiser on keyclone. Do your main first then use the pip in maximiser switch to your next alt and let him become the main until hes completed. Rinse wash and repeat on all. When i was low i did the try and loot while on main for alts blah took to long. Then use the pip feature on maximiser never looked back. I would loot on main then complete swap to first alt so hes on big screen. Do this with all the rest. Collection quests arent that bad if you switch main screen to alts when its they're turn to loot. Makes them go bye faster. SO give maximiser on keyclone a try and bind each slave to a button. For me i use F8 main F9 salve 1 F10 slave 2 F11 save 3 F12 slave 4. Then on each character on those i put macors on those keys. Like use keybindings action bar 6 buttn 1 F8 button 2 F9 button 3 F10 button 4 F11 button 5 F12. OK for macros i use this on each character and make sure all 5 are the same. /focus main /assist main thats bound to each slave on F8 key one action bar 6. Then you do /focus slave 1 /assist slave 1 bind F9 key 2 action bar 6. Just kep doing this so each character has macros on all 5 of those 5 buttons. What this does if you make sure in maximiser you put F8 in the pip swap above resolution on main and F9 and so on on other pip screens when you hit F8 in game all your toons focus main F9 your main screen swaps to slave one and everyone focus' him then just hit follow. Make sure all attack macros say /cast [target=focustarget] spell. This way you can keep going. Give this a try and tell me what you think. Any questions feel free to ask here or pm.

I've got a warning to add about completing orange and red quests. Completing too many of them can cause you to miss too many green quests (because you outlevel them) and might leave you with no available quests at all. I got stuck at level 29 half a year ago, because I had outleveled all the green quests, completed all the orange and red ones and was too low level to start the next series of quests. Its probably not a problem with RAF, but it is something you have to be aware of, because you don't want to end up having to search for those few quests that you've missed in the various questing areas.

Generally I pick up all quests I come across. Group them by area and go to town. If I'm leveling too fast and things are starting to go yellow and green too fast, the collection quests are the first to be dropped and ignored, but I by no means outright avoid any quest. Well, except ones that have me doing too much running around. The pike one from STV {horde} that sends you to Arathi, Linkin's, stuff like that I pass on. The XP is just not worth running back and forth between continents and between a dozen different zones.
