Hey guys,
I would like to thank the community for helping me through out my boxing career.
It sure was long journey form tbc, beating slave pens heroic for the first time, then finally doing magisters 2nd and 3rd boss, and in the end solo boxing kara. Beating heroics in first few weeks of wrath, when we were all way undergeared and had my tank being 2-3 shotted by bosses was great fun too. Now i'm at the point that I have nothing else left to do, i can't even do heroics anymore, i hate them too much, dailies are pointless, I have all the rep and all the gold I'll ever need. I haven't logged on my team to do anything other than JC daily at all.
Over past 3 weeks I've been thinking what to do, and i decided to cancel 3 of my accounts, and just keep my Dk for alt raids, and my main to conquer whatever is ahead of my as far as raiding goes.
Again, thanks so much for all Your input and help, this is great community, and hopefully it will stay the way it is!
Thanks
-Brad

You can stay lol. I doubt you will be kicked out for not boxing. You may want to come back. Like if Blizz releases a new IQD-like area for dailies, I know for a fact Tasty and I will be there to inflict pain...daily.

Good luck with your raiding. I myself am going through the application process to try and get into raids :P

Well I hope this isnt the end for Niley and Co., and just a break.

Your insight is greatly appreciated and I always look forward to your posts on min/maxing. Hell I made my DK after I saw yours and re-read your posts. Granted there is not much to do boxing wise after you have gained all the badge gear you want especially if you dont PvP and couldnt care less about the biggest time waster(Achivements). Hopefully, blizz add more content/badge gear with 3.1 and peaks your interest again.

I have semi retired my shamies for the same reasons, I'm done with anything that they could do, running heroics is a blast the first 100 times, but starts to get dull later. So I am raiding with my druid and leveling alts. But content will not be able to come fast enough for us I think. By the time Uldur is out, People will not only have full sets of 25 gear ( raiders ), they will off complete off sets and all their alts twinked out in 25 man gear. If the next expansion is 2+years away, I'm sure ill be doing something else long before then 8\

I do find it very useful to have my team for my tradeskill needs. And i still love to 5 box demolishers in WG 8)

i'm sub'd till at least valentines day so I can do that holiday for the 310% "What a Long Journey" achievement mount, then I'll probably unsub 3-4 of my guys too until next big patch/holiday (not sure when Childrens Week is). My main was created on day 0 of WoW 4-5 years ago, but he's only had an active sub probably for 2-3 years (only been multiboxing six months), WoW is a great game to consume content and cancel subs while you wait for new patches :)

I kinda want to get the red proto drake too, I think all of them are definitely multiboxerable except for maybe 2-3. Just really cant get motivated enough to keep trying stuff like the Watch Them Die or the Drak'theron ones. Plus one the next big patch is out, the red mount will probably be a joke to get and there will likely be something even better (frost wyrms???)

I just cancelled subs on 3 of my accounts now as well, expiring end of the month. Got the Lunar festival achievement done, valentines day is in a few days - 4 more for the 310% mount! The next holiday is April 12th (1 day, Noblegarden) followed by Childrens Week in May, so I'll resub around then or if patch 3.1 hits early. Will still raid/solo arena on my mage and level my DK up, but its a nice time to take a break from WoW until the next big content patch.

ninja edit: just found out Noblegarden not part of the 310% mount achievement, so you can cancel until May.

I'm seriously considering deactivating all but my main account for now also. I haven't even played WoW for a week almost - whenever I have time to login I can't think of anything I really want to do except maybe level my mage :) I figure its really easy to resub so if I just turn off the subscription and want to play later I can easily do it.

I'm getting to that exact point myself. I was planning to go for glory of the hero, but some of the achievements require special group setups, so I'm left with the choice of levelling (and gearing) up another tank and slower or simply finish the last heroics that I haven't so far (oculus etc.), call it a day and focus on my main. I've got more money than I know what to do with (I simply refuse to spend 15k on a mammoth) and I have every single piece of gear from heroics and badges that I could want. My brother is levelling his team so once he gets 80 and some nice gear we might see how much of naxx-10 is doable.

Yeah, like 75% of the glory achieves are pretty straightforward, but 25% are just crazy and a ton easier just pugging - I'm still going to go for it on my mage. And really, in six months I'll have the 310% violet drake or whatever comes with the "what a strange long road" achievement, so who even cares about a 280% red protodrake at that point... and I'm sure in the next expansion they are going to release a new mount type which will make all these flying mounts obselete anyways.

Sam - PVP is just not fun anymore for me in WOTLK as a multiboxer. I am bad at multiboxing arena, I happily admit that, so doing that isn't fun. BGs are boring as hell, its the same maps for the past 5 years, there are so many bots in BGs its pitiful, and nobody cares about winning/losing in BGs, its just an honor/hour farm system - I haven't stepped into a single battleground in over a month and don't miss them at all. Wintergrasp is fun, but I find it 10x funner as a solo player than as a multiboxer (lag, vehicles, tenacity, etc), and after 30-40 wintergrasp games its lost its appeal and just become a 15 min zerg fest every 3 hours with little consequence or advancement.

I can understand it Niley... Thing is I think we've beat the "boxeable" content way too soon and doubtfully we'll have more five men content soon or ever before next expansion and there's literally nothing else to do.

I haven't finished leveling my 10 toons, 2 are still on the way although 8 are ready to raid. It might be the case that 10m content on the other hand is way too hard to 10 box... I feel like I'll be asking myself questions in a near future too :)

5m Nothing to do
10m Not doable

Possible ways to go:
1 Toon raiding (ouch :/)
5-6-7 box raiding

We shall see :)
Best luck to you mate!

Edit: Oh and btw I think this post should be in the General section since this will "hit" most of us sooner or later and others might have great ideas (as usual here!) to get around that.

Old school raids, farm t1/t2, farm rare mounts, 1 for each team member, farm thunderfury and hand of rag, try to box gruul, try to box mag, try to box lurker (possible with a few, count them, few pugs as the adds in P2 are pretty easy), camp stv and the stv arena for days, take over the horde zepplin landings/ally boats/docks, kite a flight master, sit in a horde/ally town and kill anything that enters, lag up Dalaran by getting the essence collectors from the D1 > D2 quest line, make numerous alts and kill them in cities so their bodies make words.
