Paladin & Shaman

K now that i seem to be getting the hand of this dual boxing a bit better now , and finally got my system working better , i have decieded to give a Paladin & Shaman a try , but my Q uestion is which one would be best to use as the main.

depends on what you wanna do. lol.

really... the joys of dual boxing is actually in learning which you prefer and how you make it work.

in all honestly, you can make either the lead and it will work out just fine.


if it was me, however, i'd go main ret pally til 60. switch to prot and AoE down everything with shammy giving me totems for stats, occassional healing, and maybe a little bit of aoe dps.

prot/retri paladin main + ele/resto shammy alt would be my advice.

Depending on what content you want to do to level.


Prot+Resto would be good for instances.
Prot+Ele would be good for duo'ing elites and group quests.
Retri+Ele would be good to grind through normal quests.
Retri+resto, wouldn't be very good. Mana management mainly, you'd have a lot of downtime with this combo.

In any case, it's always best to main the melee and alt the caster/ranged.

How about your Pally as main....either ret or prot.

Have your shaman a mix of enh and resto.

Enh stuff for improvements to shocks and totems...resto for better heals and quicker CD on reincarnation in case you wipe.

Use a ligning bolt and a flame shock on the pull....then use the pally to melee it when it gets into range.

Never tried it...just a suggestion.

Will use the palli as main,,with the shammy as 2nd toon.Wow. You sound like me. I just leveled some toons to 60 and am about to do pally/shaman duo because I haven't played either class past lowbie state.

Spent time today trying to figure out a nice combo for fast outlands questing and decided to go ehancement / holy. The pally can heal fine for single targets I hear and I know enhancement can pump out some dps. Seems like a good mix.

The other idea I played with was Ret / Resto, but I'm thinking the pally will be too slow for my liking. My end goal is to make him more of a tank and for the shaman I want him to be enhancement and resto for endgame. Probably resto first since healers have an easy time grouping and I like playing healers. I might switch it up when I hit NR as I'd like to practice with the shaman as healer and pally as tank more on their own.
