Or, can you just go it on your own. I haven't even been yet. I don't know the mechanics even though I'm sure I'll figure them out soon enough. Just curious what everyone's experience/opinion is on the subject. My understanding from casual real life conversation with a friend was that you had to be grouped in order to get more honor/xp but if I already have 5...

Yes.. Its easier to get the dailies done and even if the honor is abit lower the honor from destroying towers on the fortress is divided on all the people in WG. (Not 100% sure on WHAT exactly that gives honor apart from dailies,winning and killing but someone mentioned the fortress towers)
Other things are buffs you get for free by beeing in a raid.. Moonkin aura and popping bloodlust to 40 people and watch you walk over the alliance is gold.

As a boxer its a good idea to be the person to start the raid so you're in control of your groups.
Also, in my experience the presence of a multiboxer does a great deal for team morale and your raid is quite likely to follow any order you might /rw at them :)

Yes, you will get more HKs and honour, just like in AV.
