DKs are incredible... I just sat at the instance to Azjol Nerub and camped groups of 80s. My group is 74... they couldnt kill me and a few logged off in probably disgust. Glyphed Rune Tap is probably way OP. There are some classes that are a little more difficult to kill, but I still win. I didnt run into a rogue (that could spam fan of knives,) so Im with-holding my uber OP comment until then, lol.

where have you been? =P theres been plenty of posts on many different forums about DK's being awesomely strong and able to destroy other playes (especially when youre in a group). theyre not called a hero class for nothing. people think theyre all OP and stuff, but the tag "hero class" entails performing at a greater lvl than any other class in certain aspects. theyre everything one should come to expect from a hero class.

But Blizzard didn't intend to make them OP, so they wouldn't be 50% of the server Population (what they are, it seems). Should be on normal lvl as every other class :) but they aren't

Dks are NO near as OP as they were before the patch..
The main problem now is immunities and damage output of certain classes...
The same classes/specs that always gets mentioned even by Blizzard is Rogue,Paladins,Mages,Death Knights and feral druids, since these classes are the hardest to burst while they burst fairly well themself they are the fotm atm. (thanks to a buffed explosive shot and deterrance) Blizzard have confirmed that they are working on changes but couldnt say if we could see a overall buff to health pools, resillience etc or direct class nerfs.

I started consistently killing level 80s when my dks got level 65. Didn't win every one but won most of them. Heck, even killed a level 80 pally with level 60 dks. :) twice!

I knew they were good from fighting them on my other team, but I had no idea how good when you multibox a team of them =)

I've thought about making a team of DKs but I was concerned how well melee will do, could you elaborate on your strategy?

And they represent well in all arenas to.

Hah, well I did some WG runs over the weekend. Let's just say my druid is worthless in world pvp. The Dks manage to stay together, but someone always fears off my druid and it seems he is too far away or dead so often that I might as well not bring him. Oh, btw at 80 things are very different. I find people have really figured out how to lay into us now. I could take down quite a few people, but I always lose one or two and that makes it not a whole lot of fun... waiting to get your team back together and all.
Oh well, I'm still working on the heroic front. It's taking a while, but I think I can clear a few heroics now with my DKs. I got my "main" tank some nice gear upgrades and I think it will help a lot in group survival.

-ClovIt's all about positioning with melee boxing. Running through the mob/palyer to make sure all your toons are within range.
Also making sure your toons are following, as melee breaks follow. You can either do this by including a /follow on the end of every macro, or, as i have found invaluable, Jamba's follow strobing.
Apart from that it's pretty much pew pew all the way! DK's are alot of fun, and you will quickly find out how much content you can clear with them!
I'd recommend going blood btw. I have all 4 of mine spec'd blood, and the healing is out of this world! 4 manned all instances I have encountered in OL so far. So easy!
Good luck mate :)

WG is a wash out for me as a MB now its all CC and mass AoE spam, same as SoTA.
AV is still good,if you can get a game tho that is ;)

Level 64-65 is where my 5man group started being able to kill level 80's. I still lose more than I win, but its nice when I pull out a win. I havent seen another MBer or heard of one on my server.
