OK for the life of me i cant remember where i found this on here. But someone was stating linxus doing something with playstation 3 allowing use of ps3 to play wow. If this actually is plauseable would a ps3 be able to handle better then a quad core to play wow times multiple accounts off it same time. I know it has something like what 6 processors in it but, how would you actually set it up ps3 only has an 80gb hard drive or would that be more then enought to do it.

PS3 is verry close to actual computer, open the back and you see a SATA output so you can easy change the HD to a bigger one.
I innstalled Vista on it and running Crysis on it whit medium/high so it shouldent be a problem

This is most definitely false.

Sure, the PS3 *could* handle WoW if you can get Linux with Wine working on it, but there's no way it'll be faster at 5-boxing than most new quad cores, especially the i7 series. You're talking about a 4+ year old CPU with 7 small and somewhat fast cores versus a new (and smaller = better) quad core architecture supporting 8 threads with a hell of a lot more system memory and faster hard drive access. Remember, a PS3 uses a laptop hard drive, so that's already one upgrade you'd need to do to not lag like hell when you enter Dalaran. Don't even get me started on the differences between the PS3's graphics system and modern videocards. The PS3 is designed to operate around 30-60fps at 1920x1080, but most games are limited down to 1366x720. This is chump change for all the newer computer videocards.

umm wtf?

Just saw what i had typed and sry was tierd when i wrote it so just completly ignore

You can run WoW from youre main computer thrue youre PS3 using StreamMyGame or something.

About the HD, what i ment was on the side of the PS3 you can remove youre old laptop HD and plug in a 3.5inch HD if you have a extra powersupply

It *looks* like you said you installed Vista on your PS3 and run Crysis on it. That can't be done as Vista has no drivers to support any of PS3's hardware. As for streaming *through* a PS3.. there's nothing in your previous post that mentions that, but I suppose it could be done.. but why? Seems pointless. As for just upgrading the PS3 HDD with a 3.5" HDD, yes.. that can be done, as I've done it with my PS3.

:P ye i know was tierd^^

I hooked my PS3 up to my comp so i can play anny games like wow(tryed multiboxing but ended up in bluescreen) on my 80" inc projector whitout having to move my comp, just simplys things.
And 10 times more fun to play when the cops is banging on the door telling you to turn down the sound:P
