View Full Version : 5 Warriors and/or 5 Rogues?

Ok, so I've been going nuts with the leveling groups and have pretty much every class leveled to 60 so far. Once I get my priests up to 30, I'll RAF grant them to 60.

The two that I don't have are warriors (have a set to 28 ) and rogues.

What are your guys' thoughts of 5x warriors or 5x rogues?? I've read peoples' signatures saying rogues are the "funtime crew" or something similar.

Any feedback on whether it's worth it or not?? I have like 2 months left on my RAF. (yes I've been going non-stop)

The flipside is that I'm seriously getting tired of leveling toons. I have done the Tourguide for RAF multiboxers so much that I can do it now by memory. After leveling most of every class, I feel like most are usable, but I've not heard much about warriors or rogues.

For the argument of melee not being box-able, I don't have a problem with it.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Well, you get a very nice "chainsaw" effect with that many melee, but outside of the novelty, it doesn't seem that good without a healer.

My raiding main was a fury warrior ever since the MC days. In order to maximize DPS you need to get a little bit of splash damage where possible. Although they have drastically improved rage generation for fury warriors, it is still very possible to be rage starved on a highly armored boss who does not have any sort of splash damage. Because of that, I'd probably go with a rogue. Much of rogues damage comes from white damage which means that it's less important you hit the skills at the exactly correct time.

For pure melee groups I'd rank the following as the easiest/most powerful to the hardest/least powerful:

1.) DK
2.) Paladin
3.) Druid
4.) Rogue
5.) Warrior

I have no idea where enhancement shamans fit into the mix.

Yeah I agree DK's are great, powerful, and easy to play. Pallies are a close second. I've just been reading about the boost that warriors got since the patch and being that I enjoyed the AOE of the pallies and DK's, I didn't know if the warriors would still be fun.

I haven't done any raiding yet, or PvP, so I'm sure some toons will get played more than others. I'm just wondering if a warrior or rogue would ever get played. I can see the rogues being fun popping out of the shadows and taking people by storm. Especially for the dozens of people that have made it on my KOS list. ;)

Warriors.......well.......that's a lot of HP's. No healing would suck though. I thought that with my Hunters, but the DPS with them was just insane. Being able to kill skull levels was really nice. I did a lot of corpse runs, but I'm wondering how often that would happen with the warriors, whether it is more or not...

i ran a shammy and 4x warrior for one of my teams up until wrath came out, they didn't get but to like lvl 40 or so, but it was cool as hell seeing them all charge, i would target a mob with my shammy and drop windfury and have the warriors assist and charge to mob and since they went to the mob, 99% of the time i didn't have to re-position and i just hit follow after they were done slaughtering it and move on, was pretty cool i thought...
The first time i watched them all charge in at the same time i loled irl, it was funny

I never thought about the option of 4 warriors in tow with a different main. That would actually be nice to not have your main get the aggro by having the 4 warrior charge while you hang back and heal or add DPS.

Hmm.....

I have tryed 3 warriors and a pally and there where verry easy to lvl and do instances whit would strong recomend it, suced for pvp tho :\ way to hard to controll 3 warriors and a healer.

I'm going to try warriors and rogues myself (once I've got my pallies sorted) I think it'll be great fun.

I tried using warrior followers as well and it'slike launching guided missiles! Try having the charge on a round robin key to maximise the stun!
