Mainly I'm curious if anyone knows if using the /followme command could be considered Botting.

Basically, you target your "slave" and do /followme (or /followme <slave name>) and it'll follow you without any other interaction.

Also, the mod allows sticky following, where as if Follow is broken while in combat, it'll reestablish (assuming range and such) once out of combat, but not during.

I mainly use this mod so I don't have to worry about yet another key to bind set up, but it's not like it's saving a lot of effort if the risk is to get into trouble.

Granted, I only 2 box, so it may not be that noticeable for me using it, unlike if someone were to do that with 5 toons.

It's 100% legit.

If it uses WoW's own API (and it does) then it is completely fine.

That's what I was thinking, especially since one of the main threads here does suggest it.

However, getting these kinds of worries out of the way never hurt. :)

Thanks guys.

This isn't 100% accurate but about 99%. You can find ways to do things that will get you banned with the native UI. This follow mod however is VERY much a common thing and if they wanted to force following to a hardware event I imagine they would have in one of the many movement nerfs they have given their UI.

Great mod, especially for announcing via /tell or a channel when low on HP, gets my attention a lot faster.

Is it me or does the "Sticky Follow" option not work?

I get a message when Follow breaks, but I never see the characters attempt to re-follow after combat. Sure wish there was a way to set "always follow" or something. It's annoying having to hit follow after every combat.

I have the same problem, I just went back to use the /follow focus as a hot key

I can't see it helping if you get fearing and separate, or your main dies

I personally don't have a problem with Sticky Follow.

I use /followme (character name). I get into combat. Follow is broken.. if I'm in range, follow resumes.

The only thing I do get from time to time is the message saying that Follow is Broken when I'm telling them to follow me when they're already following me.

But as far as Stickey goes, it works fine.

I also use this just when I'm doing my NW dailys on 2 of my toons. I set my clones to "click to move" and right click on a crate so they go walknig off to loot it (alt tabbed) then set my main off to go attack something.

Even though the follow wasn't broken BY combat (in most cases it's broken before combat even starts), just the act of going into combat and out of resets the inital follow command as long as I'm in range.

Bah... I'm forgetting to set the /followme

And this is why the forums are so helpful!

Thanks,
