My brother has mentioned playing WoW but he has a few complications:

1.) He wants to use a handheld controller (something like the X-box controller) since he's a huge console fan but not a keyboard/mouse guy
2.) He uses a Mac

I'm not sure what forum to put this in (softward, hardware, macros) so I thought I'd put it in general.

What I'm looking for is advice on how to approach this. What hardware to get, what type of software/macros will be needed, and any success stories about this type of setup. He will use the keyboard to chat, but otherwise most things need to be controlled with the handheld.

Don't know if it's possible for Mac, but WoW is fun to play with :)

My son likes to use his gamepad on his iMac. His controller is a Logitech dual-action handheld gamepad. He uses a program for the drivers called Gamepad Companion which you can find at www.carvware.com which is $15 for a license. He said he got the email in a couple of days and it works well. The software makes all the keys of his controller completely programmable and works for many different gamepads. He chose the Logitech one because it had a bunch of buttons. I hope this helps.
