Yes. Let's please keep these forums clean. I enjoy coming to these forums because of all the informative guides/writeups that have been posted here. I am pretty sure alot of us are here because we want to promote our playstyle to the masses. I think it has done a wonderful job so far. Lately all I have seen is a lot of finger pointing and name calling which belittles the message we are trying to send out.

I've learned alot about multiboxing from these forums and am glad we have a place to come and share ideas and thoughts on the subject. I would hate to see new people who are interested in multiboxing come here to see us bickering at each other.

Yesindeed. It's a good forum and should be above the occasional nastiness. It just takes a little restraint and consideration, which we're all capable of.

I've been thinking the same thing for a while then when I actually stopped to think about it I realised

a) the mods do a Stand up job

and

b) The only place where there's really trouble is the occasional thread with high profile subjects (read: evilseed/deathwalker etc- that's not to say you guys are the trouble of course, rather your threads seemed to attract a bit of attention, not all of it good :)

yep... /raise glass.. Props go to the mods!

yeah we've had some 'controversial' threads lol but it's mostly in good fun. When things start to get personal then it goes overboard. Lets try to keep this place clean

We don't take a hard line on moderation compared some other forums (EJ springs to mind), as most people behave themselves - however we are quick to act when people cross the line.

Some moderation may be obvious (e.g. locked threads, edited posts), and some not so obvious (moving a thread to a more appropraiate forum, quarantined threads or deleted threads), but rest assured we do go through all posts, and may even contribute occasionally! :D

You can of course report any post you feel may be inappropriate or breaches the forum rules - this is usually the fastest way to get action.

Cheers,

I think the atmosphere's been better lately than it was a year ago when I first joined. People are friendlier and there's less childish nastiness. People tend to listen to each other more and talk past each other less.

I know the heated threads today probably bothered a lot of people but they were caused by a very unusual event. It's not often that somebody publishes a new program and misrepresents it in a way that could get accounts banned. It was a serious problem and although the conversation was unpleasant, at the same time, we came together as a community and did what was right.

We're a long way from turning into wow general. With the mods we've got that will never happen.

By the same token I wouldn't want this place to turn into some big love in, where people are scared to say anything even mildly controversial (and I suspect with Fursphere on board that'll never happen :) )

Unfortunately the threads that have controversy on them are the ones that everybody piles in on and where emotions are raised.

Wouldn't life be boring if everything went swimmingly?

I think that lately it's been pretty mild around here. There was a time where flaming and arguing seemed to occur much more frequently, particularly when new members would ask about stuff that had been covered many time previously. I think that the past 'rowdiness' is one reason that we have several admins and mods now, I think we only had two or three for a time.

There will still be flames and arguments, but they either get shut down quick or they die out on their own. The atmosphere here is pretty good these days, IMO.

I see a lot less "Go ask in the right forum, dumbass" responses, although I do think that is in part to the mods just snagging posts and dropping them in the appropriate forum. I actually thinks that's a pretty awesome function on their part.

That said, all it takes is one bad apple to spoil the batch, or so the saying goes. I'm not going to point fingers at anyone concerning what happened yesterday, but the amount of venom and hostility greatly increaseed over the course of the whole thing, to the point that worse things started to pop up after the initial broohaha died down. Again, thunderous applause for the mods for handling things so well. Hats off to them for donating their time and energy to keeping these forums so nice.
