Hey Everyone
Im new to Multi boxing so far it looks very exciting and promising = ) Well done to guidelines and threads i have learnt alot although i am still a little confused. I want to MB 2 Death Knights ( 1 is undead the other is tauren dnt know wether that matters). I have installed keyclone, set up the DNP keys >>>WSAD<<<, and have also set up the maximiser. I have no idea with macro and keybindings. what do i need to do from here to make them walk together and attack togehter etc etc. None of the guidelines are class specific and dont go in depth to that part. Not sure if anyone has done DK's before and can give me some clear instructions
Thank you in Advanced

Once it is all set up correctly will i still need to be clicking macros in the slaves screen ??
Cheers again

no no, no clicking.
keybindings... erm let me see... easiest to explain:
DONT click macros.
put the macros in your actionbar slots. press the buttons on your keyboard and they both would do what they need to do.
so drag a macro to your actionbar #1 , button #1.... for both characters. (for the main char, you might not need a macro, just the spell, not until later when you get better at it will you need macros for the main character too.)
pressing 1 will cause both characters to attack.

Okay set up my focus - follow - assist macros and some basic dps and aoe for both my unholy spec DK's, working really well i have my 71 helping me in Nagrand with the elites and im loving it pwnting everything = D so thankyou very much for your help.
The only thing is when im attacking my slave sits a little behind me and when attacking it says out of range ? so i have to sorta run a little past the creep for slave to come forward within range. Is their anyway of making the slave stick right to the master ?
thank you once again

unfortunately with melees and the /follow command, no. but....
just walk backwards for a little while attacking. that works. or.. turn the mob around by running past it and doing a 180. your slave will be right on top of the mob usually, but he'll still attack the mob. plus side to turning the mob around, the mob cannot parry, dodge or block your slave's attack since the mob will be facing your main and not your slave.
i would also advise you to try this macro:
MAIN:
/cast [nomod, target=focustarget, harm] [nomod, harm] Death Grip
put this in a button for your main.
then...for SLAVE:
/cast [mod:alt, target=focustarget, harm] [mod:alt] Death Grip
put this in a button for your slave, but the same action key as your main.
say you put this in hotkey button #8.
press 8, your main does deathgrip.
press alt+8, your slave does death grip.
works if you switch leaders too.

This thread has some nice examples ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=6559') of how to solve some of these problems. Scroll down a bit to the diagram part.

Hey Guys
Everything is working great getting used to DB very quickly and im loving it. I got my dual monitor setup going last night (have been meaning to set it up for a while = P) and was wondering how do i set up the maximiser so that i can get my primary and secondary wow screens each at full screen on both monitors ??

keyclone

howdy silxtc,
to use both monitors its similar to one monitor, in that you define a region and put that region name in the command. the difference would be that you need to define the region on the other monitor (or display).
in the lower right side of the maximizer panel, you'll notice a pull down with \\.\DISPLAY1 showing. that is the main monitor. pull it down and you'll see \\.\DISPLAY2. select display 2, the other monitor, and define your regions as you would otherwise.
here is an example of a 5-boxing, dual monitor layout:

btw... another little secret re: melee for multi-boxing... taurens have a longer melee range and will therefore be more likely to be within range
:D

Cheers = ) configured region 1 for display 1 and region 2 for display 2. This is getting better and better =P having the 2 big screens makes it easier wen trying to loot and pick uo quests etc etc.
