Hi all,

I recently started my first multiboxing team: 2 hunters
I looked around on the forum and didn't really find this so:

i'm having a problem with the pet of my second char: usually when i start attacking i would like to send in my pets first but i couldn't seem to be able to get macro's on the pet bar (like /assist main /attack) so how can you let the second pet attack your target as well? how do you guys solve this?
What i do now is cast a hunters mark first with both chars so they both have the same target and then send in my pets but this is mostly a waste of time because mobs drop so fast i really don't need the mark and i feel i could be chainpulling way fasterwithout the whole mark first then send pets if i could just get that targetting thing sorted out

I guess what i'm basicly asking is: can you macro your pets too? and how?

another problem is was having yesterday: patches
i have two separate folders with WoW and patched the first and when i run my second wow copy it says i need to patch first (logically) but then when i click ok it says i allready updated (not so logical) how do you do this? I copied the changed files from one folder to another to get it done quicly but is there a better way?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can use the following macro:

"/petattack [target=Yourmainsname-target,harm]"

Just replace it with the toon's name you're using.

As for the patching issue, I encountered the same problem today, copying the correct WoW.exe (currently build 9506) to the other folder did it for me.
Let us know if it works :0

I use focus to aim my alt's pet. There are probably other ways. I think mine is something like this:

/target Mainguy
/focus [target=targettarget, harm]
/cast [target=focus, harm] petattack

I think the last line would also work if it looked like this:
/petattack [target=focus, harm]

For sure you want the "harm" in there, to avoid the pet picking its own target when you have a friendly target, or no target.

Well i started multiboxing Hunters and what i did was /assist (Mains Name) /Petattack /cast Auto Shot (or whatever spell you want to use first)

A pet bar exists out of actionID buttons so to speak, not macro's. So yes, place them on normal bars not pet bars.

On Toon A create 2 new macros
Name Toon A
/clearfocus
Name Toon B
/focus toon B

On Toon B create 2 new macros
Name Toon A
/focus Toon A
Name Toon B
/clearfocus

Then create the same macros on both Toons
/follow focus

and
/assist focus
/cast autoshot

You can put petattack in there but its not really necessary anymore since blizz changed pets to attack in Defensive mode.

I like this petattack macro....

/petattack [target=focus,harm,nodead][target=party1pettarget,harm,nodead][target=party2pettarget,harm,nodead][target=party3pettarget,harm,nodead][target=party4pettarget,harm,nodead]

How do you handle the fifth member in your party if you have one?

Well, as the character intitializing the macro would be the 5th member, wouldn't the initial target part of the macro select her target? I think allows Vyndree to use focus and set each pet to different targets IIRC.

I read "chainpulling" as the other Hunter's pet grabbing a new mob. Is that even possible to macro?
