Hello all.

First, thanks to all who have posted quality information in the form of stickies, and general posts, guides, etc. I have learned a lot in just a few hours of searching & reading. I started my MB group yesterday. I have lvl 11 mage, priest, warlock, warlock.

My issue is that I am somewhat stuck. First I cannot find the post I had seen before on where to level by level to best avoid collection quests, and such. Second, obviously, I do not have a tank, or any character that can sub as a tank. I do not have a 5th account, and even if I got a 5th, the 300% XP would leave him behind without a 6th to 'connect' to for the bonus. So, should I just start over? I have I think a whopping 25min /played time, so I could. But I really wanted to get these guys to 60~ish or more & then transfer to my main account, or use them to boost a character or two on my main account, then drop them, as they are all the 10day trials right now. So, I really do not want a 4x Shaman team, but I could live with that if need be.

Any suggestions on how to proceed, or should I scrap & restart? Thanks in advance...

There's no specific step by step guide available for multiboxing although some people made some pretty informative info about them.

When I leveled my four shamans in TBC, I had a warrior+4x shaman box, when I reached 31 the low level and extremely boring instances (you'd do them like 10 times in a row etc, it's very annoying.) I got too tired of it, so I dropped the warrior and had my lvl 70 enhancement shaman boost my four then level 31 shamans. I leveled from 31-60 boosting in instances in no time. Went really quick, at 60 I decided to level through quests. Since Outland is quite a bit better then Azeroth. I dinged 70 with 11 days played time on the clock. (I'm anything but a powerleveler, so it's a really fast time for me. :P )

As far as questing in Azeroth (1-60) goes, it's a bit of a pain, if you avoid collection quests you'd find yourself traveling a lot. If you got RAF, then questing, even collection quests, will be worth doing. I'd suggest you just put up with them and quest for the fastest way, if you don't have a high level on a fifth account to boost your four characters.

Thanks for the reply. I am seriously considering just keeping on & trying to allow the VWs to tank. From what I have read, they seem to be able to do so rather well. (I played a warlock long ago, and that was NOT a possibility then). Yeah, unfortunately, my characters are horde, and my characters on the account, on the server I am using are Alliance. My main is Horde, but on another server, so boosting will not work too well, plus I am using my main account as a 4th. :(

Thank you for the information. I will just suck it up & take the collection quests as well.

I haven't checked it out myself yet as I'm just starting to get things moving...but according to the wiki page I've linked below...here's a chain of quests that you can do to get up to 60 easily without having collection quests.....I think it counts on you having the RAF XP boost.

While levelling to 60 I didn't find collection quests a problem - my rule of thumb was if it's a collection quest, skip it. Below 70 there are so many quests to choose from, you can't do them all anyway, so just ignore collection quests when you find them. Unfortunately the same doesn't seem to apply in Northrend - there are far more collection quests, and many that you need to finish just to open up chains of other quests.

As for a tank - if you're levelling by questing there's no real need for a tank. With my 5 shaman group I could 1 or 2 shot mobs before they even reached me. At 60 I switched one of my shamans for a RAF-free-levelled paladin, and I've not regretted the decision yet. I still 1 or 2 shot mobs, and I can now do instances too, if I choose.

Read a few posts down, and you'll find this:
Horde and Alliance Multi Boxing RAF 1-60 Leveling Guide ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=14471')

I've used this - and while some of the map dots are in the wrong place, the quest guide is excellent. I got 1-60 in less than 2 days /played, and that was with just 2 toons - with more than that it would probably be even quicker!

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I have decided to just continue on with the current team.

Now I have another question. Money is not an issue, but I still do not want to just throw money away... The four characters I have are characters I would like to play end game. My only other 'high level' character is a 70 rogue that I have not yet started WotLK with. Should I just buy the other 3 accounts, and keep the characters to potentially transfer all to one (or a second) account? I am not sure if any others do that, or just keep the 4/5 accounts open & MB multiple teams.

Thanks for all the great information, and thank you in advance, again, for help with this new question.
