That's the minimum power supply for the whole PC that Nvidia says you need with this card. Except Nvidia actually says "550 watt and 8 pin and 6 pin." You can see that on Nvidia's website on this page (click specifications and scroll down):

Video card manufacturers constantly severely overrate what their cards need for power. Case in point I'm using a 9800GT with 2 hard drives, 2 DVD drives, a quad core processor, and I have a 400W power supply and 0 issues.

I've never had even close to the power video card manufacturs say is "required" and have never had a single issue. Up until I got this 400W power supply I was using a 300W for years with a GF8600GT, 2 HDs, 2 DVDs, etc, and never had an issue, and before that a 230W with 2 HDs, 2 DVD drives, etc.

See where I'm going with this?

I agree with you Hachoo. I was just answering Sam's question.

You don't really use all of your Graphics both of your DvD Drive + HDDs and your CPU at full Force. So I see there no Problem. But I know what you want to say this is just maybe the reason why there where no Issues with your Power Supply :)

Don't know if this is wrong or right, but it seems kinda logical doesn't it?!
Could you Test it plx?! lol
Just Install 2 Games each one on one of your HDDs and play WoW, if it's shutting down, we know it xD

I might order one of those, thats a fair price I think, but I dont like video cards that have little fans on them (I like heatpipe solutions). So maybe not...
