I've been trying to figure this one out for quite some time now and just can't figure out the best way to do it, but I have a couple ideas that I wanted to throw out there and see if it got anything kicking.

When I'm grouped up, I play the tank and the healer. I want the tank to essentially be the "main" screen and the healer to be on a second screen. With 5 man groups, it's pretty easy to set up healing macros. I use a basic /target Party1-Party5 and separate healing buttons. (Most heals require two button presses, which isn't a big step for me from my FFXI days.)

Moving from healing 5 to healing 10/25 basically breaks my current macro concept since I can't exactly put 10/25 targetting macros. I use healbot when I'm healing solo and am completely familiar with it, but I basically want to keep my hands on my keyboard so I can maintain my warrior tanks stability. So, I'd like to figure out a way to keybind each member of a raid so I can cast FoL, HL, HS, etc. Give me the functionality to be more than just an MT healer.

So, I got to thinking, is their any way to use the arrow keys (or some keybinding set) that could highlight a player in unit frame, then pressing one of the other heal macros, cast that spell. Forgive me if their is an addon out there that does this already, I've used healbot for at least a year and haven't tried Grid or ClickHeal. Unless those other two have this functionality... ?

Example:
In a 10 man raid, you could have your raid frames set up like this: (Player 1 is highlighted, denoted by () around the number)
(1)[2][3][4][5]
[6][7][8][9][10]

Pressing the Right arrow would switch it to (2) being highlighted:
[1](2)[3][4][5]
[6][7][8][9][10]

Pressing your FoL keybind would then cast FoL on Raid member 2.

Extrapolate that out, you get all the options for heal spells and the ability to target anyone in the raid. Using my G15 keyboard, I can essentially keep my warrior using his current keybinds (which are all numpads) and use the left hand side of the keyboard for the healing macros. Left Brain, Right Brain... don't ask lol.

Has anyone seen any addons that do this?

Is their any other better options than trying to do something like this?

Am I just SoL?

I've even thought about doing a clone click to be able to use healbot on my warrior with the mouse clicks being repeated to my pally healer, but that gets touchy when you have to make sure they are exactly the same spot on the screen.

You could do modifiers, use the same 5 keys you do now, but mod for each group. Might get dicey though. In Raid healing though, wouldn't it be better if you just focused on healing the tank? You're gonna have other healers picking up the slack. You could also put in a targettarget macro to heal whoever the mob is targeting, as a sort of catch-all button. I do all my priests healing with focustargettarget, and a separate button for AoE, and one to heal just my tank specifically. The less buttons the better.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. The modifiers would make 10 man raids pretty doable which would probably be where I would need to be a more "on the ball" healer. The 25 man raids would be like you said, other healers will pick up the slack. Especially with (in my case) being a pally healer, it typically isn't expected to be a major AoE healer or raidwide healer.

The focustarget and the targettarget would probably be the best way for me to go with 25 mans. I could be a really lazy healer and /focus one of the other healers (that doesn't use click to cast) then just spam a /cast [target=focustarget] FoL/HL. Sure, you're healing who they are healing, but odds are they are going still be able to use the extra 4k from a FoL or if it's the MT, the extra HL.

Damn blizzard and taking away my ezmode 1-button healing. I blame Decursive and Chromaggus.

i modified my macro for a raid once.
my normal healing was something like
/castsequence [target=focus] xxx,xxx,xxx

however for the raid I changed it to
/target RaidTanksName
/castsequence xxx,xxx,xxx

then I changed it back when the raid was over.
I would think you could write a new macro , one for party healing and another for raid healing
and edit the raid healing macro to handle the new raid tank names.
/target Foo
/target [noexists] [dead] Bar
/cast xxx,xxx,xxx

you can also limit your healbot to only show the tanks or only show the groups in which the tanks are in. I limit healbot so that it doesn't show 25 names, it shows 10 or 15 names which includes the tanks group and my group if I'm not in his group.

and last you can always target the boss and heal anyone he's targeting
/cast [target=target-target,noharm,exists] [target=target,noharm,exists] xxx
