So I am thinking in diving into pvp a little more seriously. It is kinda hard with my Ret pally, healing shammy, as the shammy gets nuked right off the bat. (not arena, just BG's)

On one hand I have the Moonkin/Mage combo. Great range, healing on the side, root, sheep, hurricane/blizzard.
On the other hand I have the Hunter/Lock combo. Great range, 2 pets, fear, traps, seeds/volley.

A account = Ret pally, Moonkin Druid, Warlock
B acount = Healing shammy, Hunter, Ice mage.

I am kinda leaning towards the Moonkin/Mage combo. Frost bolt slows em down, then nukage.
But then again, 2 pets on them + mass dps.....
:S

With two players I'd think the best way to PvP in BGs is with a similar class. Moonkin/moonkin for stealth, typhoon, treants, and starfall would be nice. Ele shaman/ele shaman would be nice for that damn thunderstorm that would keep most melees away if used on a rotating basis.

You die so quickly in PvP that it's better to use multiboxing's strengths (focus fire) and avoid the weaknesses (more difficult to manage various class skills to maximize DPS/buffs). PvE is different because you can control the pace of pulling and positioning. With PvP I think it's usually better to have similar classes.

True, but the only problem is that I don't have 2 of one class. I am starting to wonder if I need to level another class just for 2 boxing pvp. I was kinda hoping I would not have to do that, since I have 6 toons over level 70. (Pally, shammy, hunter, mage, lock, druid).

Trying to work with what I have in the stable, as it were.

I'd respec to ele shammy and run moonkin/ele shaman. With typhoon and thunderstorm you can keep melee off you for a bit. Alternatively you could keep your shaman resto and use as bait, then DPS with your moonkin while your resto just tried to keem himself alive.

For 2v2 I'm not sure how great a mage would be in BGs since their survival mechanisms (ice block and blink) don't really help the other member.

IMO just stick with 2 druids. You can pew pew all you want and still rez/heal from either or just fine. Plus the power of pew pewing out of stealth is immense.
