Okay so im a complete nub at this stuff and dunno anything bout computers. I stumbled upon this site from my server forums because of some guy trying to find all elemental shamans and tying the 4-5man shaman 5s pvp team.

But anyways I have two accounts of my own, on my main is a lvl70 and on my other is a currently lvl42 orc warrior that ive been powerlvling (42lvls in 4 days total playing time which is about 1 week :) very proud of myself there) and well i just want to know what I can buy that w/in a good decent price range that would make my two boxing smoother. Right now im rocking an AWESOME e-machine! I say awesome cause if you knew the story of this thing, it's STILL working after what it went thro...so its AWESOME, otherwise for twoboxing it aint. its factory stuff and here's the info of whats in it from the stick on my front computer

e-machine t6520
3400+ AMD Athlon 64 Processor
2.40GHz
512KB l2 cache
1600MHz FSB
200GB Hard Drive
ATI Radeon XPress 200 PCI-Express SLot Available
CD ROM 48x Max Read
1024MB DDR SDRAM

thats what im readin from my computer. Ive gone thro a whole week of alt tabbing and seeing one of the guys that i have on follow really laggy and would like to make it so he's not laggy w/o me havign to keep alt tabbing to keep up with one another

anything you guys would recommend in a decent price range that i could look in to, to make my 2boxing powerleveling smoother?

how much memory does this box have?

You could try for 2gb if not already. However if you just wanted a second box to dual box with I would just clone what you already have! It should be cheap to buy :)

ah i dunno how much memory this thing has, but i just wanna keep it to one computer and just upgrade from there for now. If i gotta buy a better video card, dual processor, or add more GHz then i'lldo that so my two boxing experience is smoother so when im on one of the guys, my other dude aint laggin behind

1024MB DDR SDRAM

It has 1GB RAM.

EDIT: RAM - Random Access Memory = Memory

PS: Are both windows smooth when you look around in them? What is your latency? There is also a "following distance" setting in your WoW settings, not sure how well it works as I haven't messed with it yet.

well when i alt tab, the guy that im moving is smooth but the other toon gets all laggy on my screen making me alt tabbing just to keep each of the toons together.

my latency is around 100-300

so can anyone help me out and tell me what i need to fix this

Ok.

First, your using built in video which will eat into your system ram.

So, what would I do?

Get a PCI-Express video card, something with at least 256mb of RAM. Nvidia 7600GT range or if you feel like spurging you could go for a 8600 series.

Get the system ram to 2gb regardless of what video card you are using.

Next, on the copy of WOW where the character is usually in the background turn all of its settings down to the min. Don't use add ons unless its something simple you cant' live without for it.

I bought 4 or 5 of them a few years back. It's not snobbery. Those things are awful. I think of those 4 or 5, none have their original power supplies.

Ouch, 512k l2 cache.

I would honestly look to build a completely new computer. You need to get off that ancient DDR platform :)

Get a proc with at least 1mb cache, preferably 2mb. Dual core too.

Otherwise make sure all your graphics settings are waaaaaay down, also try running in a lower resolution. That should relieve some of the choppiness. Otherwise on that computer it will pretty much always be choppy.

First and easiest upgrade is to get another 1-2gb of RAM.
