OK long time lurker of the site, really love all of the tips on how to play from the community. My issue is the deep frustration of hitting 80 (4 Shamans) and then trying to run the BG's. I have basically my team in the greens and blues from questing to 80 and zilch for PVP gear. So needless to say I am getting pwned in the BG's, now I am instantly getting verbally abused by those uber players in the game the minute i roll in. I try to explain that it will take a bit to get geared but of course its not good enough to them. I guess for now its just ignoring it and trying to back some points but man is it frustrating to hear the crap.

* If you have the cash, get Titansteel Guardian maces as soon as possible. It's a huge upgrade from any green/blue weapon, you just need ~1000g per mace. These maces will increase your killing ability by a lot, and will serve you well in heroics.
* Play EOTS, it's by far the easiest BG for boxers IMO.
* Hit arena (10 games) as soon as possible, so that you can get the cheap savage gear quickly.
* Go Drak'tharon heroic every day, it's very easy IMO. Buy the epic spell power shield for the emblems.. it's a great shield with high armor that will help against meelee.

Oh, almost forgot:
* Play Wintergrasp as often as possible. It's a big win-win if you have crap gear, because your performance doesn't matter much, and the rewards are very big. Badges give epix, and the honor + dailies are awesome cash and honor.

I'm starting to watch this more then heroics lately.

Use the environment to your advantage. Dont stand out in the open with a group of shaman pew pewing people if you can help it, do simple stuff like putting yourself behind trees, behind terrain where others cant easily spot you. There are dozens of places in AV where you can shoot up through the ground, SH graveyard area is one of my favourites. Also in Eots position yourself below the towers and shoot up through the ground to kill people defending them. In your gear you have to play sneeky, find yourself some sweet spots and keep at it :)

You will get alot of grief from players who can't help themselves.
Once you get good gear and start doing respectable damage the amount of /w and grief you get will lessen.
Some players just can't keep their traps shut about anything, and you are just an easy target.
Don't take it personally just keep grinding out you gear and ignore it.

OMG I had to explain what WoW is to my coworkers and why I was laughing so hard. Not many got it, but my sides hurt from the sample conversations they have for AGT. That mod is crazy funny.

Moog, words can not express the awesomeness of this AGT addon that you linked too. Thanks, I will be trying this mod out for sure!

Now, we need to get a thread going with the "best of the best" AGT conversations

People will always talk trash about you. Even back in the day when 5x shamans where unstopable, people would say how much I sucked, all while I was WAY ahead on the leaderboard. There's no logic to it. I usually play AV though since it's a much larger pool of people, so if you do happen to suck, it won't cause a loss.
