Prepping for 4 Undead DK BG team

Pretty much what the thread title says. I'm about to start my 4-box UD DKs and am looking for some advice from those in the know.

I leveled sooooo many DKs during Beta, but so much has changed since then.

It seems Frost is the way to go for Arena/Pvp, but is Unholy still a viable World/BG spec, or perhaps a hybrid of the two?

I'll goof off on them in lvl 59 BGs, then respec to a Blood/Frost to level to 80 and then just PvP on them once 80 is obtained.

I've learned alot from my shammies(I love those guys!I will Arena with them as well) and all you guys have helped me to progress with all your insightfulness and thoughtfulness. Once I get going, I'll post vids/screenies and let ya'll keep up on us!

Here's the build I think I'll build towards to for PvP at 80. It's a Frost/Unholy build that focuses on burst, utility and control. Of course, not having Bladed armor or Improved Rune tap are the glaring weaknesses, yet this spec's extremely potent in its ability to target anyone regardless of the armor they wear, as well as being excellent for putting out enormous spread damage.

its a great spec for solo pvp along with the 21/0/50. Personally I would do 1 DK with that spec and the other 3 a little different grabbing howling blast with deathchill, just my op.

I want to try this on 4 to burn enemies in BGs, but it may change to just one, as you suggested.

Check out my DK specs, they are 21/0/50 and I really like it. I love the ghouls, they rock - they have like 17K hps each! I don't have AMZ, but it's not really that useful to be honest (it's just too expensive as far as points). I can pop AMF ever 45 seconds though, which gets me out of MAGE aoe.

I do pretty well in BGs and can keep myself healed with rune tap (with glyph) and mark of blood.

They are also really well speced for Arena 2v2 and 3v3.

Very cool! :thumbup: I was just T-crafting due to the new Killing Mechanics, I may do one DK as my BLAMMO spec, the other 3 in the Blood/Unholy spec, or all 4 as the 20/0/51

Mind if I ask how you lvled your DKs, did you quests or dungeon your way thru?I did maybe 10 instances while leveling up, just to do the quests mainly. Instances are really bad exp/hour.

68-72 I stayed at howling fjord, valgarde keep at the entrance. Mobs keep running at the entrance and attacking the guard. I sat all 5 guys there and just made a macro to target a mob and /castrandom it. so I just kept spamming the macro for like 10 hours while watching TV or whatever.

Then I basically did all the quests I could, I made sure to do the battle for undercity quest line, most of the quests in Fjord and Tundra, all the quests in Basin. Most of the quests in Icecrown, most of the dragonblight quests, most of the griz. hills quests as well. I pretty much skipped Zul Drek quests all together, maybe did 20 of them. I did maybe 30 Icecrown quests as well.

With a healer Im finding instancing faster xp. I even have questhelper and this is my second run to 80 with a group. I run 4 Dks and a druid healer. Pretty impressive what they can take out.

Alot changed for my DK's at 80,especially since improving my gear/gems.
I do all frost and have also run Blood/Unholy.
The biggest benefit of having all Frost is x5 Hungering Cold and Howling BLast massive burst damage is becoming more and more important to me,as more players get better gear and practice with their class.
I found throwing another spec messed with my Frost rotations in PvP,but for PvE and levelling I am leaning towards alot of points in Blood with a stonger Unholy Spec for Point and run speed increase.
So I have 1 frost 3 blood and 1 UH in a 5 man team.

So I rolled a BE(I know, I know ;) ) and levelled him quick through the beginning area to get him into a WSG before bedtime. He will be my spec-goat. Here is his current build:

Blood/Unholy for 59 BGs ('http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Moon+Guard&n=Djork')

It seems to work very well, especially against other DKs. I entered a WSG that must have been going on forever, but in 10-15 min, I had 10+ KBs

Actually, I am now running a solo 0/11/38 build, 2 glyphs, the bone shield and the icy chains and tearing up WSG, two no deaths back to back and tied for most KBs. May run main as this spec and the others as the blood/unholy. Waiting for armory to update to show the build and achievements. Will start taking screenies as well :thumbsup:

Like I said, it's very bursty, and with the Chains of Ice glyph, FUN! I would need my other 3 to be the Blood specs, but it seems to be very viable
