Boxing Molten core

Anyone has tried boxing MC (Molten Core)?
How do you get past Lucifron. The ads mind control seems practically impossible to bypass, specially when first ad MCes your tank and the second does the same with your healer.

I run a 10 man, for clarification.

My solution was to burn him down. I forgot he even MC'd people. His adds only have ~98k HP, and he has ~350k if I remember correctly.

Outside of that, purge the adds, Tremor Totem, or set up some form of cleanse macro.

i went back to MC when i first hit 80 and did exactly what everyone else suggested,
on lucy i just burned down the adds.
on mag drop termor totems and burn him down, he hits kinda hard when enraged
i tried gehennas but that healing debuff is nasty and wiped twice so i skipped him, you will need a mage or druid to decurse
Garr i thought was gonna be tough but he was a tank and spank
Shaz and Baron i wiped on and quit

Me and konnichiwa tried a few bosses back at 70, me with paladintank + 4 shamans - he with 5 shamans. I i remember correctly we took Garr, Shazzrah and Baron Geddon.
Now, at 80 i did my first run to MC few days ago, only bothered to take Geddon, since i still want my Thunderfury. Went smooth, paladintank and 4 shamans.
Edit: About luci, Can't really be that hard to nuke his MC-priest if its 90k HP, if ur running 3/4 dps that is.

I did Luci and Magma with my 5 shamans - just nuking them from the get go... worked fine :)
The biggest problem was the dog packs before Magma - takes a bit of cordination - name plates (v) helps alot though.

Atm im just clearing the last of Karazhan - just missing Chess and Prince. Then I will go back and do MC :)

Will try again when I reach lvl 80. For now only lvl 74, so I guess I need better gear and some more HP.

I went Mc after the patch on my quad shammies.

Killed Lucifron, Magmadar, Gehennas, Garr and Shazzrah. I failed at Geddon however. :<

For luci, I just burned down the adds, didn't get mc'd once. :p Gehennas I earth elemental'd and bursted them down. Mag/Garr where just LB spam and heal, move a bit here and there. Shazzrah was burning down and healing, that boss does shit damage on level 80, the aoe silence wasn't an issue.



Geddon proved difficult with taking aggro, having to run from fire fart and dealing with living bomb. Think a tank might be required there (one that can run from fire farts unlike earth elementals). :p And not only that, you need to keep dps up high as to not run oom before you kill him. Take too long and the debuff will have you stranded at 0 mana, which would be bad. (unless you have a priest with you)

AT lvl 70 Tasty and I were clearing MC. We had to bring in some friends to douse the runes for us so they decided to stay for rag lol. In this pic is me (4 ele shammies), Milena (4 ele shammies), Staxs (70 resto druid), Saniere (70 failkin druid) Shillwin (our horrible druid tank friend who we carry through all the old school instances lol), Banquet (70 mage who is a very close friend to our boxing guild) and You can see 3 of tasty's mages in the background along with his priest ressing a 4th mage (the nub let one die tsk tsk).

These days we clear MC with just me and Tasty and my brother with a dk.

Luci - burn adds then proceed to win
Mag - burn adds, drop tremor totem, strafe out of fire
Gehenass - burn adds then drop the boss, mages can decurse
Garr - lol, 5 seconds for tank to get aoe aggro then tasty runs in and aoes like a madman while i spam chain heal
Baron - tank and spank, fire fart is meh, alt tab to slaves who get the bomb and run them away while dpsing still
Shazza - purge/dispel spam while others dps, taunt after blink
Sulfuron - aoe everything, adds dont have much more than 50k hp so arcane explosion + CL + LvB
Golemagg - tank and spank
Domo - aoe, adds die before domo then he emotes out
Rag - spread players then nuke

I got the left bindings off geddon last night. Wish I had thought to give it to my DK for kicks, but oh well.

Make a ticket to a GM and say you accidentally gave the bindings to the wrong person and was meant to go to "whoever." Can get the item xferred in about 2-3 days usually.

I could do that, but I would think GMs have better things to do than transfer vanity items around. Plus, I still get a TF on my Pally if Garr ever drops his.

Considering that most of the time they are dealing with stupid tickets like "zomg this guy is haxing 4 shammies" there really is no problem with them xferring it. If anything, the GM will probably congratulate you on your luck with having it drop.

Write up a ticket along the lines of, "Had bindings of the windseeker drop for my raid in MC the other night and I accidentally looted it to the wrong person. It went to blah blah instead of blah blah. Could you please xfer the item to blah blah. Cheers. No GM reply necessary"

I usually include that last part as it means they don't have to talk to you unless needed, saves a lot of time. Although you probably have to open the ticket on the character that recieved the item by mistake.

But if you are happy with your pally having it that's cool, just that there are like 1, maybe 2-3 DKs in the world with TF. And vanity item it may be, but it isn't called a LEGENDARY for no reason.
