How is the shammy dps post 3.0.8 generally doing?

In particular im curious about difference when playing low lvl 70s in instances (since my shammys are still stuck there). Still need to bitchslap some rested xp in instances, but untill they fix the 'additional instances can not be launched' crap Im stuck, but inventarising in the meanwhile ;).

DPS is much better post 3.0.8 - heroic runs have become insanely easy as I can now finish DTK and Gundrak in 25 minutes or less each. Each shaman gained about 400-500DPS just from the patch on my end. Also because I respecced my DK he gained around 400 dps as well.

but that would be in totals, 2200ish dps per shammy?

I cleared naxx25 last night on my resto shaman and the #2 and #3 dps spots were both elemental shamans on a number of fights, including Maexxna, Sapphiron, and KelThuzad (played by non multiboxers, and they had really good gear). So imo they have gone from usually-last to very-competitive.

Of course on my mage (my main in a guild) its usually a geared warrior/DK, followed by mages/hunters, followed by ele shaman/boomkins, so it really depends on the gear level and skill level of the players now more than the class.

Skill, well tbh its still mostly about latency and timing, I think skill would be a big too big of a classification. But its good to hear ele shammys are up the charts again.

I felt that lvling in instances , next to the 'additional instances can not be launched' "feature" was annoying due too low shammy dps and little aoe, so was hoping to get some sketches on how its performing now and if I should pick up the shamsters again. I did read the stories about boxing HC COT and GD, which seem very promising.

Eh, Ive gotten 2900 dps per shaman on fights where I didn't have to heal (eck, etc). 2100-2200 on fights where I am healing some x4.
