Uhhh Arenas are dumb

So... patch hits.. great!
Changes are made, Shamans are evolving back into the groove of things. Gylph of Shocking is quite yummy and for anyone who pvp's would suggest getting it as a Shaman.

Now to the meat and potatoes:

Arenas rating system changes are flat out dumb. I spent the evening going 14-4. and I was very happy with all of my games, even the ones I lost to were winnable, the main issue though is gaining / losing points makes 0 sense.
I was beating 1900 and 2k rated teams and winning 4 to 7 points, when I lost. I lost 10. My rating is 1753 or something right now, and that makes 0 sense to me. I guess I'm just ranting about something small, it just means more teams I have to stomp on the way up. Having a 70% win % and only being at 1750~ with almost 150 games played is a little poo poo :)

Blizzard is probably going to reset and arena team ratings, personal ratings, and hidden ratings to 1500 so that should fix the point issues. So said Kalgan

So said KalganI think he was talking about the bug that was right after 3.0.8 were people hit 3k personal rating and getting all the achievements, hence they disabled arena master's so you couldn't queue.

I hope they provide more info about this hidden rating.Honestly its only a matter of time before some glad/math nerd figures out the algorithm and then posting it is all that needed to figure it out. I have seen many glad teams starting to do trial and error. Dumping games,recording all their matches and players in them(TR,PR, gear, past glad etc). I give it 2 weeks before a player gets pretty close or blizz informs the masses about their SGR.

The rating change is strange. I did 10 games this week on my 5 shaman and went 5-5 from a new team starting at 1500. I ended up team rating of 1457 (or around that cant remember exactly) and a personal rating of around 1500. I was just happy I could win some now. I beat a team with 3 pallies and a dk with uber aoe twice. 5xts 5x nova 5x magma.

Check my post on the pvp forum. I think most people are being pushed down in rating by the system to get an average of 1500.

Yeah, I've had like half a dozen friends send to me, and quite a few posts on the official forums too. Hadn't seen it here yet though.
