So i wanted to know who else is getting geared up right now. So im going to link my characters I would like to see others link theres make some comments on easy stuff we can do to help.

Just a suggestion, get rid of that Totem of the Elemental Plane. It's inferior to the Badge of Justice reward. If you have extras from BC times, use those, or just run a kara and get enough.

Skycall Totem has NO cooldown, so you can perpetually keep 100 haste up. Totem of the Elemental Plane has a hidden 45 second cooldown. It's just not worth it, for the same proc rate.

Armory may not have updated, but that's pretty much what I wear. Damn Cyanigosa won't drop her shoulders for me, so I only have them on 1 of the 4.

I am using ToEP because I do not have nor have I ever had any badges of justice nor do I have any other totems from BC except the green -LBmana totem - this is still way better than that one and I have no desire (right now) to go back and get another totem :) FWIW blizzard has said that they realize its inferior and are going to fix it (now whether that means nerfing the old one or buffing the new one, who knows).

Edit: But if they haven't fixed it after I get the emblem shield and emblem trinket for my shamans, I'll still probably go back and run all of the BC heroics (for the achievements) and use those badges on the skycall totem :)

Hachoo - Hit rating hit rating hit rating. Your shaman dps will go up a ton if you get more hit. Max your hit out first and you will notice a nice dps upgrade. Nice job on the team!

P.S. Buy the cloak from Ebon Faction Vendor. You are wearing a resto druid or priest cloak.

Yeah I do need a bit more hit but I don't raid and I have 3% hit from talents, that combined with the 2.5% hit from hit rating and I'm almost capped for heroics anyway, I think I need like 1% more or something, maybe 2, can't remember.

Anyway, I haven't been to the ebon vendor in awhile, didn't even notice that cape there so I guess I'll go pick it up tonight :) Actually my other 3 shamans are using a different cloak but I can't remember which one.

Edit: I remember why I still have those cloaks now - going to have 4 deathchill cloaks crafted, was just waiting to get a bit more stam before replacing my existing cloaks. I think I can afford 4 tonight anyway and I'll have the emblem shield so my stam should stay even.

Edit again: After looking up spell hit and hit rating on wowwiki looks like I only need 78 hit rating on my shamans to be capped for heroics - at 54 now so 2 hit gems will put me over the cap - might replace a couple spell power gems just to cap out until I get more gear with hit rating.

play a few days of Wintergrasp and get the epic helm (40 marks), its quite nice. You can either get one with hit/spell dmg or one with haste/spell dmg. Heres a link to the one i got:

This would also allow you to gem/socket more for damage than hit.

Also I would never socket for mp5, its a bit of a waste for ele shaman (good for resto). I prefer #1 spell dmg (runed scarlet ruby), #2 spell dmg/crit, #3 spell dmg/int, #4 spell dmg/stam (based on matching sockets). Don't forget either you can buy a eternal belt buckle and attach it to your belt for an extra socket.

Also imo it comes a point quickly, like really within a week or two of hitting 80, where 50-60% of the heroics become very easy and frankly boring. At that point, if you have the time, it might be better simply to rotate a shaman into a weekly naxx25 pug to pick up much, much better gear. Or your tank, etc. Once a couple of your guys are geared up in the very best gear you can get, heroics become even easier and the really hard ones (spider ones, HoS) more achievable. Plus its nice getting the naxx25 clear achieve on each of your guys, since it makes it a ton easier to join future "geared" pugs.

Hmm, maybe I'll do that - honestly I've yet to even set foot in wintergrasp so I know next to nothing about it. How many wintergrasps does it take to get 40 marks?

every time your side wins you get x1 mark if you are rank0 (recruit), x2 marks if you get 1-5 honor kills, and 3 marks if you get 5+ honor kills (rank lt). If your side loses you get 1 mark.

The easiest thing to do is join a WG when it starts, and have all your guys join one of the random raid groups. On my server a ton of people run mods that auto-invite, so I just have all 5 guys whisper the person "invite", I go hide out in the base somewhere, and automatically get ~10k honor and 3 marks after 15-20 minutes, plus a ton of stone shards from the 2-3 quests. It did take a few days to get 70 marks (boots+helm) but most of the time I was just reading email, lol

LOL, interesting.... well, on my server horde wins Wintergrasp almost every time so I guess I shall try this soon...just gotta figure out when WG actually starts. Also my quad core phenom is arriving tonight so I will probably wait until after I get that up and working so I don't get massive lag in WG.

I enjoy 10 man the most, I only do 25 with pugs every now and then on my main, but 10 man with the guild, usually with 3/4 shamans of me present. Working on red proto drakes at the moment tho, after getting it on my main with a few others from my guild, I want it on my alts as well. :P

Working on red proto drakes at the moment tho, after getting it on my main with a few others from my guild, I want it on my alts as well. :PCurses on you. :) I've had HORRIBLE luck with token drops. Our MT is a warrior so I pass to him all the time, and not once have I seen a shoulder/helm/legs drop since he's gotten his. :( This is also while both priests in my 10 man run are 4/5 T7 at least, one is 5/5. Our DK is 5/5, and our pally is 5/5 in his prot set, AND his healdin set and I think 3/5 in his ret set.

I did however get the mace off of KT last week and the helm off Sapph. I <3 them.

Right now my big mission is to get prisms decks done for all 4 - and then I'll mess with my gems as I know I need to update them.
