Hey, I've started a warlock/priest combo, and we are currently at level 16. The warlock is the main character, and equipped with the great enchanting wands up till 30. Right now I am casting Immolate/corruption and having the priest do a mind blast and then wand to death with the imp out. I currently have the priest as going into the Disc tree, but i'm not sure if that's the most efficient route. The warlock is going affliction, starting in imp corruption. I was following a drain build.
Some questions:

Should I switch to succubus or fel hunter even (dark pact) and eventually felguard?
Once getting siphon life, should I switch to the run-around-like-a-lunatic-and-dot-everything-while-the-priest-shields-and-renews-you? Or should I wait till Unstable afflic?
Which glyphs? I'm using the Imp glyph, but was thinking about immolate, or getting the shadowbolt glyph and use it instead of wanding.
For the priest, should I level him shadow or a healing route?

Also, is there an easier way to do quests? I have to alt tab and pick up items and turn in quests and such.. It's kind of an annoyance, and I'm wondering how 5-boxers handle this annoyance.

Thanks so much for the help! I appreciate what you guys are doing here.

Hi there, and welcome to the world of dual/multi boxing. It's a lot of fun. :)

I can't answer your questions about your team, but the last bit on the annoyance of having to alt-tab and such.. I have a solution for you, and a very simple one.

Download the Jamba addon and set it up, /jamba in-game.

[Addon] Jamba - An assistant for multiboxers. 11th Update - 0.4c released. ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=12887')

That will handle a lot of repetitive tasks for you.. the two biggest being, in my opinion, talking to quest NPCs and taking flight paths.

All you'll need to do is have the quest NPC window open on both characters, and then do the usual selection process on your main (in this case, your warlock.) The slave will automatically follow the steps you take (ie, selecting quests, accepting quests, turning quests in, choosing quest rewards.) The flight paths work a similar way: have the flight map open on both your toons, then choose the FP to take on your main. Your slave will automatically select the one you take.

There are a lot of other handy features included, but for me those are the 2 biggest timesavers.

Happy dual-boxin!

Thanks much! I assume i just switch the main character using Jamba and control him.

Anyone know answers to the other questions?

I currently got a team of 4 x warlocks on level 35 and the run and dot strategy is good, but not as good as it could have been, what im saying is that when you hit level 50, respecc to demonology for the failguard and then affliction down to siphon life. It realy doesnt matter after that what specc you turn your priest into because:
a) He will be healing alot aka. shadow is not the route
b) He will be DPS'ing alot aka. shadow is the way to go, but you will be annoyed with mindflay breaking follow :p

Happy dual-boxin!What do you mean Quest NPC? The NPC that gives the quest or the quest log? If it's the NPC that gives the quest then you'd still have to alt tab to open the NPC Quest window up. That isn't really efficient on a 5-box setup like mine.

@OP: I would go affliction for leveling and then respec to destro. for the high crits/damage. Go holy on the priest so you can heal the warlock.

Also, I see it as a waste of time to dual-box, there's no real advantage playing two characters over one. Stick with 5-box or just go solo in my opinion. My team consists of: 1x prot. pally, 3x mages, 1x holy priest

I'm dual boxing to take advantage of Recruit a friend. I have no desire to have more than 1 account.. i just use a friends when he is offline.

please forget about that. This is Account sharing and is a good reason to be banned by Blizz.

two is always better than one.

with a warlock, i'd go affliction.
with a priest, i'd go shadow. their debuffs help each other's spells.

as a priest, dont forget to sw:p for added bonus dots to help the warlock.
renews/shields on the warlock is advised. it helps the warlock to freely lifetap. with a priest, darkpact might not be necessary, so leave out the felhound for removing debuffs or the succy for added cc. the voidwalker or felguard will only hinder this style of play.

along with Howl of terror, your priest can add a second psychic scream, which lasts a bit longer, and can be more beneficial if you want to draintank.

to tank:
swp + vampiric embrace = health back. siphon life all mobs and driain life... lifetap when low on mana. thats all you need. plus renew and shield? come on now. for affliciton locks who drain-tank, a shadow priest is like nirvana.

as for glyphs? i'd get renew glyph. if you do use mindflay, get mindflay glyph. im not too up to date on my glyphs though. for the lock, i dont find too many useful. as for the lock, corruption glyph is awesome. nightfall? yes.

If you're using a friend's account, STOP IMMEDIATELY. You WILL be banned by Blizz for that. If you want to dual box, get a 2nd account in your own name.
