Apparently it seems like blizzard finally starts to admit that 800-1000 resillience doesnt help nearly enough vs the burst in the game.

"We are also still discussing whether this is a problem only with certain classes (rogue, mage, paladin, DK and possibly Feral get mentioned the most) or whether damage is just too high in general."

Ghostcrawler isnt saying that a change WILL come but when they are starting to admiting that things are bursty im hoping for changes in 3.1! :)

Feraldruids is what i struggle with most atm, they burst like a rogue then shift into bearform and pass 30k hp! :(

I still find the main problem beeing to much pve gear used in pvp, once this is fixed i think alot would change!

Thank god, I was really starting to give up on WoW PvP. Those are exactly the classes that I thought had too high of burst damage. Hunters, however, seem to just have extremely high regular damage. I can spam cast nourish from three druids on to one target and a hunter will still take them down in less than 10 seconds.

I miss the days of strategy, crowd control, and healing. I agree that healing was a bit too OP in TBC, but I'd still prefer that to 3 second matches.

Elemental fixes in 3.0.8 and plans for patch 3.1
We do not plan to overhaul Elemental's spells in 3.1 so we need a longer-term fix for them. (This does not mean Elemental is getting no attention in 3.1.) We do plan on changing hunter abilities so we will have to rebalance them anyway.

I reeeealy dont get what he means by this.

Anyway here is a direct quote on blizzards ideas about burst damage atm.

Burst damage in PvP
We think PvP is too bursty. What we haven't announced is what we are going to do about it. Risks of making ill-conceived changes include just shutting out classes or specs without a lot of CC potential, or perhaps having long stalemate-ish fights where nobody ever dies. But that doesn't mean we won't do anything.

We are also still discussing whether this is a problem only with certain classes (rogue, mage, paladin, DK and possibly Feral get mentioned the most) or whether damage is just too high in general.

Resilience will still make a difference. When you talk to players sitting at say 500 resilience they can notice a difference and by 800 or 900 they feel like they can stay alive (caveat: this is a very generalized statement and obviously isn't going to apply to every player or every situation).

Lets hope it changes for the better! :)

translation: we have noticed fewer and fewer players in arenas the last few weeks and need to change something so people don't cancel their subscriptions.
