Naxx 6-8 boxed!!! (13/15 Bosses down) updated 2/20

On my server, there are not very many pugs so me and 2 of my friends decided to see how well I could 8 box Naxx. We tried this before and failed but with the recent shaman changes, we decided to try again. One friend was off-tanking and was not def capped, and had crappy avoidance. My other friend was on his alt resto sham in blues / greens. I'm the only one who knows the fights as my friends are usually just dps and never pay attention to anything else.

The Setup:

Warlock -> (subbed out for a druid on Maex, Heigan, Loatheb) - Whitebee ( sub: Gojiberry)

Bosses!!
Anub'Rekhan - 1 shot.
Easy fight when you just heal through the locus swarm. I think I ran out of mana on my dps but we were still able to down him.

Grand Widow Faerlina - 1 shot.
Easy fight. My OT was able to dps down the adds for the enrage without me doing anything. easy fight.

Maexxna - not so easy.
Took a good 5 attempts before we skipped this boss and came back later. My OT was doing dps and he had to break the webs and after all the attempts we did to teach him and my other friend the fight, he got webbed first and we just wiped it from there and moved on. We ended up coming back with a 4th real person and got it on the third attempt with that person.

Noth the Plaguebringer - 2 shot.
Real easy fight when your resto sham knows how to decrurse. I thought we were going to die because the OT died on the second wave but my paladin was still able to tank Noth + adds (Noth was at 3-5% health when he ported the second time)

Heigan the Unclean - Hard
Extremely hard boss without cheating since you cant cheat on him anymore. I think we spend a good 2-3 hours trying to do this boss. It took my OT 4-5 tries to learn how to tank and move him and the resto sham how to remove disease. After that, it was all on me to move 8 characters across the room without dying. I think on our best attempt we got him to 50% and wiped on the second raid dance.
Finally able to down him with 3 others and me 7 boxing, see below.

Loatheb - Easy
3rd try got him down. first try with 2 healers not knowing the fight got him to 8%. second try 5%, third try dead! See below for pics.

We didn't try any of the other bosses because I didnt want to setup macros for instructor just yet and my OT needs to be uncrit for patchwerk + more hp so he doesnt die instantly.

a disease tot works some of the time, but sometimes the tank isn't in range of the tot to avoid have the raid covered in a 300% increased casting time debuff which happened a few times. Once they got that covered though, it was easy to get past phase 1, its just phase 2 thats the hard part for me. I think over half the time we were there was just on attempts for that boss.

So there is hope! We used to 3 person Kara every week, with me playing 3-4dps + healer, another playing 2-3dps + tank, and another playing 0-1dps+healer. We were able to down all bosses with this group. But from stories about gimmicky fights in Naxx we were starting to think our days of raiding were over. So at least it sounds like we might be able to hit a few bosses. Now if only our second healer would stop playing moonkin for a few minutes and get back to leveling her resto shaman we might be able to get on that lol.

Heigan however, is easy. My first run through there with my group I run with, 5 shaman, lock/2 priests/prot pally/prot tank, everyone died but me, one of the priests and the prot tank. It took 31 minutes, but we got our kill none the less. I dpsed, cured, while the priest healed and tanky tanked. Since then we've actually knocked him out for our less than 8 achievement - by me dropping some of my shaman out of the instance.

He's even that way on heroic. We lost 17 people in the PuG I was in this evening, and the 7 of us who lived ended up killing him. Don't be afraid of Heigan, he's a pushover.

Heigan dance bit is pretty easy, just stay relatively close to the platform so you move and stop, move and stop.

If you go too far from the platform and end up running non stop it won't work on follow anymore.

I've only recently perfected this myself as previously I was way too far from the platform, but it seems run->stop->run->stop works better with /follow and will make sure no one gets hit by the plagued lava.

Awesome work so far, hope you clear it quickly! Sapphiron will be a pain for you though. :P It's hard enough playing 4 there, let alone 8. D: Mboxing is blizzard magnets there.

note: a lil bit of lag could screw up everything for heigan though. :P

All but 1 of my guys died in the DDR part, so it took a while to kill him. loatheb was easy, 3rd try i think we got him down. 8% on first attempt 5% second, 0% third!
