Howdy Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing good, but anyways I am here because I am looking at creating a new boxing team. So far I have gone through the 5 druids, and Paladin with Four Shaman groups. I am now looking to create a new PVE group to level up to 80. I have been reading the Wiki about other peoples combos for their teams, and I have to admit some are looking like good choices, but I also have been trying to rack my brain for some possible interesting combos. Right now the following is what I have come up with...

Warrior - Shaman x2 (Resto/Ele) - Mage x2 (Fire) - Elemental Shaman would be for the Totem of Wrath.
Warrior - Shaman x2 (Resto/Ele) - Mage (Fire) - Druid (Boomkin) - Again, the shaman would be used for the same, and Boomkin for the added crit chance.
Warrior - Shaman (Resto) - Mage x3 (Fire) - Would be used just for easy DPS, and easy Macros.
Warrior - Priest (Holy) - Shaman x3 (Ele) - Easy Macros again, but Shaman used for utility.

I am really hard up on deciding. I am leaning towards the Shaman x2 and Mage x2 combo. But I am still unsure... I would like some feedback from some of you, if you wouldn't mind. Again PVE and end game instances and possibly even raiding will be the goal with the teams. I am open to other kinds of group make ups, as I was even thinking of possibly throwing locks in the mix, but that I am unsure of.

I am also unsure what server I want to roll the team on, I have been looking in the Wiki again about where everyone is located but am always unsure on rolling on a new server. If anyone has some suggestions, also these will be Alliance toons, since I rolled horde most of my time in Warcraft, I decided it was a time for a change.

Thanks Everyone, have a wonderful day!

What do you mean by "I have gone through"? You have actually played that team or you have read about the team?

I only three box so I don't have any experience in 5 boxing with a tank and healer. However, if I was to make a 5 box team, where the DPS are casters, then I would go with the pally. I'm not really sure what buffs a warrior tank brings to a non-melee group. Pallys, on the other hand, bring very nice buffs, can rez if they're the last one standing, and are regarded as one of the easier classes to multibox tank with.

I have also read there are some difficulties maximizing the DPS of mages when using a mixed group. Knowing little about mages I'm guessing this is due to needing to cast spells based on procs of other spells, something that is not terribly easy in MB. I would personally roll with three boomkins for my DPS. They only have one ability where you should cast a different spell depending on a proc which can be fairly easy to take advantage of using /castrandom. They can rez, battle rez, tranquility for with the s**t hits the fan, and really don't have any mana issues.

As far as a healer, I would go with a shaman since my boomkin/pally group doesn't have any protection against fear. If you're using a shaman for DPS then you could use a priest, but the more classes you mix the more complexity you add.

For an "easy" yet powerful 5-box group I would go with pally, 3xboomkin, shaman.
For a difficult yet more powerful group I would go with pally, boomkin, mage, lock/hunter/elementalshaman/spriest, restoshaman/holypriest (depending on your 3rd DPS choice)

Ah yes, sorry, I have played both those teams. And only reason I wanted to go with Warrior was just for the fact I have a level 80 Paladin already, so although they are the best for Multiboxing... I am not sure I care to use another Paladin right now.

If you won't consider a DK tank I think a boomkin is essential. It's pretty hard to beat their dps and unless you have a DK in your group i would bet earth and moon + imp moonkin aura is unbeatable.

Even with a DK tank I would still take a boomkin just for their dps, all depends on how well you want to control 4+ different classes.

Mages are hard to beat for DPS allthough they suffer some annoying multiboxing core talents. Every spec has a proc that increases DPS that should be watched for.
Instant pyroblast - Not the presence of mind version but the hot streak proc.
Instant fireball - brain freeze talent in frost tree
Missle barrage - highly hasted arcane misslies
All are chance to proc and until well geared are probably not consistent enough for macroing in.

They will still out DPS a pre 3.0.8 shaman spamming any one spell in their spellbook without procs, though after 3.0.8 I don't know how they compare.

Mages bring water, int buffs, 10% crit on their target for frost or fire specs. A frost mage provides a 1min CD elemental pet that gives a very nice mana restore effect.

I would say warrior - mage (frost/fire meh try em both) - moonkin - shaman(ele) - Priest(disc/holy I like disc better)

Mage - frost > fire for utility and depending on gear level competes for DPS and frost is a much easier cast rotation.
Priest - Disc may be the best throttling/mana control healer there is when geared. (Pally's might have unlimited mana but who wants to box heal with a pally :P)
- Holy does have superior aoe healing and Spirit Guardian is better than Pain suppression for saving a bad situation in PvE.

This group also allows you the benefit of respeccing shaman / priest between DPS/Healer of greatly different play styles and group buffs.

So ya..... Warror - Mage - Moonkin - Shaman - Priest Welcome to 5 classing

If no boomkin or DK you need a warlock or you are gimping your elemental dps.

Alright, so I have been doing some more thinking, and I am thinking of doing the DK tank at level 58, and just using a warrior up until then.

So I am thinking doing...

Death Knight Tank
Druid Boomkin
Shaman Elemental
Mage Fire
Priest Healer

It should give me great buffs for all the toons involved. Thanks Genocyde for the ideas. And everyone else.
