I noticed when I killed Ony yesterday (Northrend was a mite unstable) that she only dropped 50g.

supposedly they are lowering everything pre-wotlk (quest rewards boss drops ect). imo it is total BS. i mean now you can't make decent money till level 80, or atleast that is the way it is looking.

It's not unreasonable to do this, but it seems kind of petty and uneccessary, particularly the raid bosses. It's a fair amount of time to travel to them and it's not exactly like 200g is that much even to a single boxer. IMO, this is just an alternate way of earning gold which wasn't particularly out of scale with other means. Doing Ony was fun for me and I was planning on moving on to try AQ20 as well. Now - pfft.

This is terrible. They should be happy that people had a reason to want to still try the old raids. The gold from it wasn't that much, anyway.

IMO they should redo the classic raids bring them in line with the new stuff so that the content isn't wasted

I admit I'm a bit confused by this. There has to be a reason for this change that has nothing to do with money, since 150-180 gold every five days is nothing for a level 80 these days. I make more than that just doing 13 or 14 of the easier dailies.

Maybe a server issue? Or something else? It can't be the money, and I doubt it's anything to do with ruining anyone's fun.

I'm betting it was a lag fix. It doesnt make sense to nerf it because it was dropping too much money. Hell I can make more than 150g on ONE character in less time that it takes me to fly to Dustwallow and kill Ony. I'm thinking all those solo people starting up instances just to down a raid boss(and taking 30mins to kill her) was causing a good amount of lag. However Im not sure this is any different than if they solo'd a low level dungeon. Maybe raid instances have different lag mechanics.

Yeah, so, maybe the message is that you *should be in Northrend making 150g on one character. I'm not insisting on it -- part of WoW is farming rep, gold, mats, etc., your own level or not (but it's not a lag issue or Scarlet Monastery would've been nerfed to farmers eight times already). I haven't gotten around to running Onyxia yet but have read it's good fun and probably worth doing now and then anyway. :)
