Yesterday before patch, cash flow was much more. Now escape from skettis nets 7g 59s. Fires over skettis is even worse at 5g 70s. I don't remember anything in patch notes about it. Bummer, it'll take me 2x as long to get teh epic flyers now.

sadly there isnt much that is more gold/hr than the current level 80 dailies, only playing the AH game is better.

Rumor has it they nerfed the amount of gold that Onyxia drops as well. At least from the 3-4 people I heard from last night. I am probably going to pop her tonight and see what I get.

I usually get anywhere from 140-180g from killing her and the reports I was hearing last night was it was down to 50-60g. Sadly enough, that still isn't a bad amount of money, but it's confusing because they are really toploading the economy with the changes they are making. You won't start making serious money until you are 80. (I really don't believe that at all, but it just seems that by some of these changes, they really are driving it that way.)

it's very easy and my 5x 80s can handle everything with ease.
I bring some level 70s in on my extra accounts I still have from the RAF.
I wonder if the other 10 man is boxable, I may give that a try as well.

After (or before) you Kill Attumen, be sure to go the back way to maiden (go right as soon as you zone in the front door) and kill those spiders. They drop Netherweb Spidersilk which are 6-7g each on my server. You can get 10-12 in 5-10 minutes.

Sunwell dailies have been giving around 5g per completion for a while, if I'm not mistaken. Then again at level 80 they're a cinch to complete.

Talk of doing Kara/AZ at 80... if I can do this with five I'll drag another five through just for giggles. Something else for the to-do list, I guess. :)

Once a week I kill 3 bosses in ZG (mandokir, tiger, fishing boss) and kill the first boss in Karazhan. Both instances are terrible if you are just interested in gold, in the time it takes for you to get to those out of the way areas and run them you could have farmed up whatever in Northrend (essences, gold, relics of ulduar, mining, herbs, etc) and made a ton more money. I even drag a level 70 alt or a friend sometimes, but that is also kind of pointless since any gear they get from Kara could be replaced quickly in Northrend.

But I have 1 mount from the first boss in Karazhan (very rare!) and am hoping to get a few tigers and raptors from ZG. Its too bad ZA bear mount didn't change to be an ultra rare drop from the 2nd boss, or I would have been farming that weekly too!

Just hate that 1 day they were giving 9-11 per quest turnin, then the next is 5-7g. I had planned on not getting WOTLK till I have at least 1 team with epic flyers, now it'll be in March lol.

I had planned on not getting WOTLK till I have at least 1 team with epic flyers, now it'll be in March lol.for wrath, you dont need epic flyers til 77 anyway. by then, make sure you have enough money for each. you'll make about 1k gold for each toon on selling quest rewards and quest reward gold.

Flying - 1k gold
Epic flying - 5k gold
Cold weather flying - 1k gold.

total: 7k gold.
basic epic mount i think is 200gold.

so i guess the best thing you can look for is save up to 6k for each toon before hitting northrend. good luck!

Questing to 77 from no gold got me nearly 2000G per character, though I bought nothing on the AH and I quested a lot. Also do all my own professions. Anyway, you can't use flying mounts until 77 anyway in WOTLK, and you can get pre-80 dailies to do that give some gold and exp which are boxable.

I'm just frustated by the 36 gold BY spell at the trainer ... and I never bought anything than spells and Corpse dust ...

I'm just frustated by the 36 gold BY spell at the trainer ... and I never bought anything than spells and Corpse dust ...I disenchant everything I can and leveled enchanting on 3 characters. I think if I auctioned the materials I would make back quite a lot, but having to buy 5x enchanting materials every time I upgrade gear would be even worse.

Oh and btw, if you want a good place to farm for some easy gold Coilfang instances in Zangramarsh is a good place.

Have they nerfed the whole xp->gold conversion ? my level 80 is getting only 2 to 4g for each fjord quests I was doing yesterday, I thought it would have been a lot higher ? (finished the worg quest line)

Probably because every fjord quest to an 80 is grey - grey quests dont give xp so they dont give additional gold - you'll get basically the same gold you would have gotten if you did the quest at 70, no extra gold.

I've started farming this weekly and netting 600 gold a run, plus all the DE stuff which still goes for a pretty penny on my server.

some details please because I'm currently doing dailys and farming instances without WOTLK activated to get 25K for epic flyers
and if you get 110G for a quest with lvl 80 I'd continue leveling =)

Quel'Danas Dailys with lvl 70 give you ~10-12G / quest.

lots of collection quests / pvp quests or kill quests?

I love quel'danas dailys because most of the quests can be done with your whole group
like killing mobs, bomb runs or quest objectives that count for the whole group if your
main completes it (like reactivating the mechanic protectors..)
so it's easy to do 12 quests within one hour and get 600 gold (12 quests * 10 gold * 5 chars).

I was thinking about doing the daily quests and keep on questing (I've only done instances on my
way from 60-70 so I can do all the quests when I'm 70 for the bonus gold) until I got my epic flight mounts.

It's a bit painful that you can't play with your friends because you're still lvl 70 while they're clearing Naxx
so I'm currently thinking about activating WOTLK and continue questing when I'm lvl 80 for gold.
