For those using the Focusless/Targetless Leader System and who struggled to get it to work here's how I got it done. Your mileage may vary...

Change your follow macro to: /focus <insert your ctrl/shift/alt sequence for each char> /follow focus /clearfocusFollow will now work regardless of whether or not you are in a vehicle.

Next if you don't already have one, make a new macro/key bind to assist current leader (don't forget to make a new keymap if you aren't using the same key for both master and slaves)
/assist <insert your ctrl/shift/alt sequence for each char>Now, my assumption is that you already have possession bars setup on all your alts, if not you'll need to do that to use the vehicles/mounts abilities.

In my setup I use jamba and keyclone and a strict do-not-pass list, so I use Ctrl-1, Ctrl-2, etc to invoke the vehicle/mount capabilities and bypass the existing keymaps. You will need to adjust for your setup.

When I do Aces High!:
Everyone gets quest Everyone gets mount (one at a time, I noticed that if I did them at the same time 2 chars don't get a mount) Everyone jumps into the air Hit follow macro key
Target first drake Hit Assist macro key Ctrl-1 x 5 Ctrl-2 x 1 Repeat step 7 & 8 once Dead drake Repeat for 4 more drakes
I have a 5 man team, if you have fewer you may need to throw in a Ctrl-5 (shield) if the drake lives long enough for its special attack.

You can think of a possession bar as something similar to a pet bar. It appears only when you are able to use it, such as when you possess (mind control) another target or hop into a vehicle that has abilities. In the case of vehicles, you get a special interface that appears with a bar in it, including an "exit vehicle" button.

What everyone is referring to is making sure you have keybindings set for this special bar if you plan to use the abilities of the vehicle. By default, some keybindings are already set for your interface. I don't recall the keybinding section offhand (at work right now), but just scroll through the keybindings until you see something akin to a "Vehicle/Mount" section.

ANYTHING in the game classified as a vehicle.Think "riding on giant's shoulders". Several quests just got a LOT easier for us. :)

Think "riding a bear". Anyone think of any quests/dailies in Northrend where you do that?

Got it to work, it was simpler than I thought.

1. All get in the vehicle.
2. All slaves set masters vehicle as focus (focus target); must be done manually on all slaves.
3. Normal follow macro still works(Though I setup another one on F1).
4. Setup a keybinding for target focus(i use F2).
5. Assist (i use F3)

F1 Follows
F2 Targets main
F3 Assists main

Anyone know if there is some way to get around the manual focus target that must be done on each slave?

I noticed that follow had started working when I went to do my Argent Tournament for the first time... I just thought they threw us a bone on those particular vehicles. GREAT to know it's all of em.

I had the same problem. My follow keys bound to f1 which didnt work, so I made a new /follow /assist macro bound to f5 and that did work? I'm a tad boggled but at least I can do the dailies now :P

My original macro was setup like this

macro 1. /target [target=x, alive] [target=y, alive]
macro 2. /click ActionBarButtonX

replacing it with a simple

/follow tastyheals
/assist tastyheals

macro seemed to fix it

AFAIK, not all vehichle can follow/ be followed. The Argent ponies can't follow anything, so that makes some of the argent quests a bit harder.

Mine work just fine. I think folks who have a problem may be having it due to using Focus???

I set my system up with a follow macro like this:

/target MAIN_ACCT_SECONDARY
/target MAIN_ACCT_PRIMARY
/follow

That way, I'm explicitly following my main toon.

Has drawbacks in terms of flexibility, but it's rock solid (I target both toons on my main acct, that way it works without changes no matter what combo of team members I'm using

I also make sure that my follow macro is NOT bound to any keys on the main action bar - it's bound to a key off on one of the right bars. If it's on one of the number keys, maybe the vehicle bar is overriding?

I don't use focus, I use FTL with explicit names (which should be the same as what you did), and I am pretty sure 3 days ago follow wasn't working (the pony could be followed but coulnd't follow). Haven't tried since then. I'll do some experiments again later tonight.

I haven't had a lot of luck with vehicles either(also FTL with explicit names). Follow on Argent mounts isn't working for me either. I did the Storm Peaks quest as the burrowing Jormungar, and had to finish it old-style, i.e. tank stayed on foot while the rest of the party followed her around in wormy form.

:) had some fun in WG whit my 73 team, 5 siege weapons go at the back wall and just plow youre way thrue over in less than a minnute.

I find that if I mount up my 3 slaves at the argent tourney and then mount up my main, they maintain /follow.

This has worked consistently for me since I discovered it. Mounting my main first results in this not working. additionally, if follow breaks for whatever reason it leads to... difficulties.

Just add a quick /follow <main_name> macro on a space key. When mounted on those ponies follows tend to break easily.

Wow, all these posts about problems just makes me glad I use Jamba ;)... Of course it makes sense, Jamba doesn't /target /follow, it just /follows Name.

I added the second line to make it easier for myself doing the killing the lieutenant /scout quests near corp'rethar (sp?). without a stack of defense up, and pulling with 5 shield breakers followed with 5 thrust, and the lieutenant goes down usually in the first pass.

also this way, if I switched main, that macro still works. Thanks to all for their feedback and hope that this macro is of help to those who are having trouble. :)

Ok I am frustrated. I had this working once before and ever since I had to reinstall wow due to a HD failure, I can't seem to remember what I did to get it to work.

I am using Bartender and Jamba. When I mount the ponies I see the normal 1-5 and = Buttons. I can not remember how to bind /follow party1
/assist party1 to a key so that I can start doing the pony dailies again. Can someone help me with detailed instructions ?
