Macaroon not working with new patch

Was getting errors and no bars/buttons showing up. Downloaded the newest version and it isn't working. So, until this gets fixed I can't box. SHIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT!

Oh dandy. Here's to reworking my macros. Again. Geez. Guess I need a healthy reminder every year of why I don't use anything beyond the base UI. Looks like another night of working out castsequences and work-arounds. Lets see, that's Shaman, Druid, Priest, maybe Rogue, Lock, maybe DK. Fun times.

Well, i guess i just screwed myself. I logged on to each of my installs to make sure they were patched and my macros and bindings were all overwritten.

ever since i read that the author hasnt been back, i guess something IRL happened and he cant physically get to a computer, i have been slowly switching my toons to Bartender4. i have about four more toons to switch over, but i dont play them as much so it shouldnt be a problem. seriously though, cant say you didnt see it coming.

I would love to use the default UI, but the 255 character macro limitation is just so bad! This is one of the only reasons I was using macaroon. Are there any alternatives that just increase the macro length on the default UI?

whew...i had a backup of my wtf folders. so i copied everything back over and dropped that new patch file in and seems i got everything back except for a few key bindings which i can fix. omg i was feeling so screwed!

There's also an update on the Macroon page and the Xtras that says updated by a friend for Maul. I've only just tried the patched Macaroon by the other author and it seems to work for far but now I'm going to seriously look at moving off of any bar mod. Blizzard is really the one to blame with continuously changing things where almost every big patch is a @!#$%@ing nightmare.

Well, Blizzard tells us up front that sometimes our mods will be broken. It's the mod authors' responsibility to keep up, not Blizzard's to hamstring their own development for the sake of projects they have nothing to do with. That said, I know it's a pain in the ass to keep pace with mod-breaking progress, especially after the thrill of development wears down to a more practical maintenance grind. I don't blame authors when they choose not to deal with that, as much as I may miss their contribution.

I just moved my druids to Macaroon (doh!), and love it. I hope it gets a quick update either by Maul or someone in the user base who's a lot better at Lua than I am. Fortunately my Northrend teams are still on Dominos ...

Well I just started using Macaroon three days ago and finnally got it and new XKey Pro talking sense to WOW and now its looking like Macaroon is on its last leg. Any recommendations for a new button mod that works well with Xkey and "may" be around for a few more months?

Spent 4-5 hours fixing it since i only managed to fix it on my main and had to copy it up into 4 new wow folders!
