server: blood furnace (Ner'zhul is not low pop, sorry sam / prepared)
date: friday, jan 30 and saturday, jan 31
rally time: 9p EST
battle start: 9:30p EST
battle ends: 10:30p EST
place: on friday the battles will center around goldshire / stormwind. on saturday, razorhill / orgrimmar

goal:
o battle will not start until 30 minutes after rally time, or 9:30p EST
o the innkeeper in goldshire MUST EXIST prior to starting battle. if someone pops him early, we'll have to wait for respawn
o if the attacker kills the innkeeper, then the final goal can be attempted... the flight master
o attackers win if they kill the innkeeper and the flight master, in that order, within 60 minutes of battle start
o defenders win if they keep the flight master alive.

don't get me wrong, i recognize this as a very difficult fight for the attacker. what? did you want it easy?

first, the time:
i'd say we give enough time for people to get the word and prepare (this weekend too soon?). no showing up with 80s, that just wouldn't be fair. average character will probably be 58 coming out of the DK starting area.

next, the place:
we need a low pop, pvp server. any suggestions? then we need a spot to meet up and go for it. crossroads? TM? anywhere else in the main realms so the 'motals' can witness the epic battles of the gods (hehehe)

we could pick prepared or sam's server to make life easy on them (is prepared still playing?)

ok.. dump your thoughts on the table and let's sort this out. how about a massive vent server? (anyone have a big one handy?) one for horde, one for alliance (or at least sub rooms)

It was anticipated that with the release of the current patch, 3.0.8, players would be able to create a new death knight on any realm within their region. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are not able to make this available as of yet. We do anticipate making this available in the near future and will do our best to keep everyone informed of when this becomes available.

Please keep in mind that when implemented restrictions will still apply to new, non-transfer realms such that death knights cannot be created on those realms until you level a character to level 55 on that realm or until transfer restrictions are removed.

I just created 5 DKs on Nerzhul no problem, it probably is working but will be shutdown soon (or not?). I vote Ner'zhul, its Sams server, Prepared is creating a bunch of DKs on it, its a low pop PVP server.

problem with nerzhul is that it's not low pop.... which would be a problem trying to get in with 20+ boxers and their 100+ characters

I'll spell it out because first few attempts didn't go through:

if we just say "roll any faction and we'll fight" what will ensure we don't end up with say 80% hordes and 20% alliance thus making the fight less interesting if imbalanced

maybe we can say... if your dualboxing nick name starts with a-h do horde and i-z do alliance ?

(that's not an equal split - maybe forum admins can post the distribution of nicks - or we could do sha1(nick)%2 = 0 => horde = 1 => alliance but that may be a bit too tough for ppl)

We are continuing to work on allowing death knight creation on all eligible realms per the creation rules for death knights and will provide further updates as soon as they are available.

Please be aware that select players are currently able to create death knights on realms other than the one they currently have a level 55+ character on while others are still unable to do so at this time. We are currently working to address this issue and anticipate this to be corrected as of tonight’s rolling restarts. We will post additional updates after the completion of the restarts.

And I just thought, since I already have dks setup I may be able to just copy everything over and have macros, key mappings and everything setup right off the bat. that would be cool.

I've got my 4 DKs out of the starting zone, wasn't too bad although I've done it a few times now. There were a LOT of horde DKs running around. I had to camp a few areas for kills /quest mobs but it wasn't bad. Definetely more running around than I expected to be with "low pop". If you're horde add Svpernova to your friends, I need 5 more sigs for the horde guild.

Yeah, we should probably give each other's groups a wide bearth until we all reach the level 60 goal for Friday's event. Not having really done PVP before, I was envisioning a battle something like against a boss elite, but it looks to me like blizzard has set it up to where damage is way out of whack, compared to life and defense.

Anyway, thanks Supernova for being a good sport and letting us "get our feet wet", so to speak, in matters PVP. I've got a LOT to learn!

Like, how do you fight against a pair of level 80 rogues when you're only level 58. I could do a lot of damage to them, then they'd disappear. We got one rogue, once, but two 80 rogues, plus three mid sixty toons is too much for my team, at least for now. I had to do the die relay back to the inn thing to regroup.

One by one, I picked up follower's last night, that were shadowing me while I quested, so that I would provide them protection from opposing faction players. It made no difference to me, and gave them a lot more security than they would otherwise have on a PVP server. The whiners will turn out to be the losers :D

I'm not sure what she is using for macro's, but whenever she attacks something, her gouls attack everything in sight. I waved at you, so she did too, at which point her gouls took off. I warned her that they were attacking, and she kept trying to get them under control, finally getting the last maverick under control by dismissing it. It's going to be REALLY interesting on a PVP server with her wild pets!!!! Sorry about the attack, but I was laughing so hard I had a hard time getting my message across to her. Good times!!!! :D

Well 80 here i come after friday. Imma roll those 3 every time i see them their death is gonna be bitter sweet once but 5 times i might feel better. Anyone planning on making thier DK team a twink 60 team. I have been thinking about it. Great for AV's, Ive seen a deathknight with 10k hp in the 60 bracket of AV. Mix in such thing as the L60 pvp weapon and some chants be pretty neat. Or is everyone lvling on beyond?

I was actually thinking about it. Would be hard to do if you don't have a toon to fund the twinking, though. That would be one fun thing to do, put together a premade and go into AV. Everyone would need to be in the same lvl bracket, though. Imagine the choke point!

For The Horde!But Being a Pvp server should be driving the home the message of that Horde is one team and alliance is another. Ninjaing a quest mob from anyone Regardless of server type is arseholeish.

personally i don't agree with this. horde and alliance are factions that are at war with each other. i will swiftly grab a mob from the enemy (after killing the enemy first). this goes for mining nodes as well. this is pvp!

Well that was a good morning leveling.
And killing one stupid damn mage with Svpernova, Level 76 v 4 deathknights, and then 7 when i joined in, and he keep'd coming back for more :P
allthough the highlight must have been svpernova Helping me Kill Azzsomthing The cruel for the quest, then blowing up Their leads corpse >_>Being corpse asploded....the lengths I'll go to to help people :_D

They never killed more than 1 of mine and never totally wiped out Akeldema. I ended up with 9 tokens and 6 on the one that got killed a couple times. I still think I'm going to go back to frost, it was much more efficient (read 3 shotting level 70s) killing. Great fun tonight. I hope you all on the alliance side are having as much fun.
