wel i hope it's good news, just started up wow and i see this



Weekly Maintenance, 21/01.

This Wednesday there will be an extended maintenance to apply patch 3.0.8.

atlast i should say..

this patch will not make pvp better but it does look like shamans will be better of in the patch..

Cant wait to buy the WG items since it means im most likley end somewere near 750 resillience.

23 extra haste rating since i can finally afford to enchant my cloack!

I do assume most people will get theese items but the best geared players already have better. Now that everyone gets more resillience everyone will be forced to use resillince!

Ret paladins do 50% less while bubbled is GREAT, it means that the bubble is only good for defensive purposes. (well pretty much)
So now we can flameshock a paladin and force him to bubble at once and taking 50% of his damage with him and making him unable to use argent wrath for 30 seconds.

Other GREAT changes to us who PVP box with shaman:

Volley: The damage has been reduced on all ranks by approximately 30% (including attack power scaling). <-- Volley hurts ALOT, and with the singel target nuking the pet provided this is a very good change for me atleast.
Celestial Focus (Balance) no longer includes Starfall. <-- Still hurts but healing trought it gets abit easier.
Improved Blizzard: The snaring effect has been reduced to 25/40/50%. <-- i guess its not THAT great and blizzard still hurts! :(
Divine Shield: The penalty has been changed so that all damage done is reduced by 50% in place of an attack speed penalty.
All Silence spells now have diminishing returns. This includes: Arcane Torrent, Garrote silence effect, Improved Counterspell effect, Improved Kick effect, Silence, Gag Order, Silencing Shot, Spell Lock, and Strangulate.
Glyph of Death and Decay has been changed to grant 20% additional damage instead of its current effect. <-- Finally the insane cover in fear effect is gone.. 2 dks could totaly locked me down with theese as they stacked and didnt add Dim returns.

Antipersonnel Turrets will now gain vehicle immunities, use falloff damage, and damage increased to 4000 + 200 per level to compensate for falloff. Not a change for the better but i rarley get hit when im far away from them anyway,
# The Strand of the Ancients Demolisher has had its health increased. Depends on the amount but our damage gets buffed, overall a good change for us i belive. We still take them out fast while the enemy will struggle more.
# The Strand of the Ancients tower cannon has had its health increased Same as above.
Deterrence: Design changed to grant 100% parry and 100% chance to "deflect" spells coming from the front, but prevents the Hunter from attacking. Lasts 5 seconds and has a 90 second cooldown. This and feight death means hunter isnt free kills anymore. :(
Fan of Knives: The cooldown has been removed. In addition, now deals 150% of weapon damage when used while daggers are equipped.
Fan of Knives: All poisons will now trigger correctly when used with this ability <-- all shamans instantly got wound/mind numbing and crip poison? Souns kinda crazy

If we still dont get enough buffed look forward to:

The run speed in spirit form has been increased by 50%. Night Elves in Wisp form will now move at a bonus 75% speed.

Seems like rogues once again enters as the kings in pvp..

Fan of Knives already poisons everyone, they changed the dispel resist on the poisons now where they are guarenteed to be stripped off. which is a very nice change ;)

WHAAT i tought it would be awsome for my priest and him mass dispelling me but oh damn this is for sure a nice change! Time for a staggered totem setup on water totems... 2 poison cleansing and 2 disiease cleansing totems.

My biggest wish atm is to get dispell resistance on bloodlust as it just sucks to see it mass-dispelled 2 seconds after i pop it.

Im also curiouse about certain stealth fixes that always happen in such big patches.

Someone said that the horde/alliance start on PTR was random but i cant find it in the patch notes. This would be a huge buff for me when it comes to grinding honor since SOTA is were i am king atm. If the guns are manned on the yellow gate we can stop 3 demolishers at once with abit of luck.

you know the best thing i was dreading the respec cost to make one a resto lol. Woot and i was tickled pink when i saw all points refurbished oh yey.

Well i was trying different setups including resto and 4 ele resto and 4 enchanced resto and mixed ele enhanced all ele all enhanced. I was seeing if there would be a kill rate dps difference. Esp in instances adding in 10 spirit wolves which only have a 3 min cd compared to a 20 min for elementals. So yea im a multiboxer just trying out different avenues instead of the typical 5 man shammay setup 4 ele onr resto.

The boots/helm have the same standar as hatefull but is nice since you dont have to spend honor or arena points on them..

The trinket is decent even thought i rather would have had a flat spelldamage.

712 resillience now so hopefully i will notice som difference in the arena..

Elemental fixes in 3.0.8 and plans for patch 3.1
We do not plan to overhaul Elemental's spells in 3.1 so we need a longer-term fix for them. (This does not mean Elemental is getting no attention in 3.1.) We do plan on changing hunter abilities so we will have to rebalance them anyway.

Shaman role in raids
This was in reference to why we let Elemental shaman damage be low in Sunwell. Our old design for shamans was that they couldn't do damage or heal as well as other specs because they could do both and because their buffs were so good. We retired that dated philosophy and now intend for them to do competitive dps -- just below the pure dps classes.

Healing stream totem
I just thought I'd follow-up briefly that the Healing Stream Totem should in fact be 30 yards instead of 20 and is a bug. Also the Elemental Mastery is also currently bugged and the cooldown is not starting at the correct time. The cooldown should in fact be starting at the time it's cast. Both of these are anticipated to be fixed with an upcoming patch.
