Has anyone tried one of these? I have one, regular keyboard with added "command pad". 9 buttons with an A/B switch. Got it for WoW, I think they make layout templates for it. Has software but I have not tried it yet. Just looking for some comments.

I had the saitek cyborg mouse and keyboard combo. I used it for about a month before buying a razer lechesis and a microsoft sidewinder x6 keyboard. The 12 programmable buttons were nice to have but they were seperated into a group of six on each side making it inconvenient to use. I would recommend the sidewinder x6 keyboard to any multiboxer as you can put the num pad on either the right or left side and use them as programmable keys.

Mine is two pieces, keyboard and keypad. It looks like it is easy to set up and program. It is heavy and non slip.

Im using a logitech g15 and loving it.

You got 6 buttons on the side that got 3 diffrent modes so 18 buttons you can make time macros whit.

Time macros=1 button grind :)

Time macros=1 button grind :)

Time macros = 1 button account ban. Eventually. Bliz even states all over their pages that using timed automation in any form from a keyboard (G15 is mentioned) is illegal and will result in bans. It's happened to former members here.

"use cheats, automation software (Including macros using Keyboard software), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience"

Despite what a GM told you (assuming this is in fact what the GM told you), any macros with delays or time function are bad news.

ye i know why i asked a gm in the first place.

He said using the time func is okay as long as you have to be present to use it, so making a macro to walk stop when in range of something dot up rense and repeat was against the rules

Back to the topic:P got a Saitek Eclipse II but changed it after 4-6 months becuse it dident respond correctly.
I like the g15 more becuse of comfort, more like oldschool keyboards^^

"As a soloist, you push a key and one thing happens on your account. As a multiboxer, you push a key and 1 thing happens on each of your accounts. Automation would be timed macros, synced pathing, etc., not having the 1 key bound to Flash of Light on your Paladin and Fireball on your mage. "

Is belfaire's awnser to a question about automation.
more can be found in the wiki http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/GM_Conversations

Sounds like you got a Gm who dosnt know the full story

He's wrong. See the referenced GM material from Akeldema posted above.

I have an old Saitek keyboard from way back in 03. I still absolutely love it, and I am getting another one for the next computer I build.
That keyboard has taken quite a bit of use, and still performs just like its new. They keypad thingy I don't use though. I have enough keys on my keyboard, don't need any more.

I used a Saitek Eclipse (v1) for over 4 years, and it worked well. The only compliant was that the keyfaces wore off, and this began after only a few months of use.

But due to years of grime, and the previously mentions worn out key faces, I just upgraded to a G15v1. Both are great product which do their jobs well.
