I made my way to winterguard to pwrlvl at the onslaught camp when I noticed that alot of npc's at winterguard were not even visible to me....I couldnt reapir. So i decide to follow a quest guide that has helped, but lving is taking forever and I am going to just go back and grind at the good locations.
Is there any problem I could run into once I hit 80 with the majority of that Xp from grinding? Will it be easy to go back and do quests that i need to do to open up the daily quests? I have completed all of BT quests and about 40 in HF

winterguard? wtf is that? do you mean wintergrasp? thats a pvp area...why the hell would you be in there?
its really easy to go back. heres my path: boring tundra, most of howling fjord, most of grizzly hills, dragonblight, sholazar basin, storm peaks, and then icecrown for last half to get 80. didnt even touch a foot in zul'drak. even now, ive only done 11 quests there. in all honesty, going back to do dailies in the lower zones will be a waste of time anyways. only thing theyll be good for is rep. and even then, just throw on a tabard and do some heroics...id say not worry about unlocking too many dailies other than hodir and icecrown.
Im pretty sure he meant wintergaurd keep in dragonblight. (right next to naxx)
Most of the decent dailies unlock through icecrown and storm peaks. so skipping other zones shouldnt impact you too much. I think it took me about 3 hours questing to unlock most of the icecrown dailys. Just do all the quests at shadowvault and the alliance vangaurd and you should have most of them. Im still yet to do storm peaks as ive been spending too much time doing heroics really to worry about it.

Luckily, they're pretty easy, and the quest chains to get there are pretty entertaining. Be careful though, there are a TON os places where you can get your team un=phased - I discovered that the hard way last night! Ugh!

Another question......I think I read that dps totems do not actually tap the mobs it hits, and that you actually have to attack the mob yourself to get XP. Please correct me if Im wrong.
Does this change with the patch notes that anything that causes aggro to you will tap a mob? Im trying to figure out if dropping a totem will tap all mobs in its range and then i can pull aggro with my higher lvl prot pally(thats not grouped)......?

It doesn't change. Pets or totems that kill something without you doing any damage don't give you any loot or xp.

Well, whats get me is that a pallys' consecration(sp?) basicly does the exact thing as magma totem.......instant cast aoe, but i am pretty sure that consecration taps all mobs that get damaged by it.
What is the difference between these two spells?

Its not the exact same thing. Consecration is damage that the paladin is causing. It causes threat from the paladin (lots of it) and generates aggro towards the paladin.
A magma totem is an item that damages something. If your shaman drops a magma totem that damages something, that damage does not generate aggro or threat for the shaman, it damages aggro and/or threat to the totem itself. Although, post 3.0.8 it generates no aggro or threat at all.
So basically its an aggro-less AoE. Also, things like hunter pets and warlock pets that kill something without the master damaging it do not grant XP either.
