My first "reported!" tell! Strangely this is my first. I have a team at 80, and 2 others in the 60s. But NOW I feel like a real boxer! Missed a little bit in the middle where I said feel free to check out dual-boxing.com What level were you when you got your first "reported!" tell??

Ahh, I can remember my first! We were so young, so free. Oh, how I envy you! :)

Yeah, it's funny how the more ignorance someone spouts, the louder and more confidently they spout it. Today someone in Org informed everyone within /say earshot that "most" multiboxers make a good living selling accounts on ebay. Earlier, the same guy proclaimed me to be a 40 year-old loser who lived in my parents' basement. You'd think that with all the account sales, I'd be able to afford my own apartment!

**sniff sniff** i miss those days... folks on mag are just so tainted, they won't even give me 'you haxxor' or 'bot! reported!" anymore.

these days, i have to make due with 'you have no life' or 'nice waste of money'

ah, the good ol' days

and they all seem set on multi-boxers being cellar dwellers... which is a bit rough in florida.

if you want to troll for some good hate... just roll 5x gnomes and run nekid to IF and dance on the mailbox in front of the bank.
(being horde, taunting alliance is fun)

They're not tainted. You've just subdued them.

I am Kilrog and begining yesterday i have a fan Club.

Seems these 2 Horde toons think I am cheating, so they follow me around all day..I mean they even went into Allerian Stronghold just far enough to watch me, then they came on a toon on the alliance side and said they were recording it.

Wish i would have screen captured this?.../Sigh

anyway a GM came on and asked what i was doing and I told him I was multi-boxing, he just said have a good day and would advise the children what I was doing was not illegal and to go away

Prompltly 1 min later these too vanished and I have not seen them since.

I have not got one of those in a while. The most people tell me on my server is "dance" >.>

frequent tells i get is "wow your leveling quick!" "go on the gnomes again and dance!" (i have a set of level 1 gnomes that do line dancing :P ) "bot" "ni how" (thats normally a joke 1 though cause my server is generally either not knowing about it or jokey about it with me ) i can also claim to have the most alts in my guild out of anyone else :P

Last few times anyone's talked to me was asking "what mod are you using to do that", or How are you leveling so fast? RAF.

I haven't had a negative comment in a while.

The first true hate tell I had was a few weeks ago. I was told that, "Keycloning is for gay porn stars that love the shaft." I just had to respond with, "I don't use Keyclone. What now?"

Actually I like it when they refer to me as plural. "Hey you 2 dudes really need to help me kill 8 rock worms, It would mean your so cool." And of course they never figure it out that both characters are almost always standing in a line and move like a slinkly.

I levelled 2x elemental shammies and 2 mages to 60 on Stormscale (PvP). I found it funny that the 3 times I had GMs check me out were without fail right after someone tried to gank ONE of my toons, and got their rear end handed to them by all 4 at once. Now common sense would say that if you're a 52 rogue, it might not be a good idea to jump on a 52 shaman who has 3 other toons with similar names right next to her, but then again common sense...isn't.

On another note, I LOVED getting the "can you help me?" tells. I'd invite a guy to the group and he would actually try to converse with each individual toon and just never realize that every answer came from the same one....Cleared ZulFarak, and this one guy must have asked 50 times "So what are you guys doing next? You're awesome, you really have your stuff together can I join you?" and again, only one character spoke the entire time.

Anyway, never got any truly good hate tells, just the 3 GM checks and the occasional "OMG get a life" which I usually answered by "Got one. It apparently involves making more money than yours does." :P

Welcome to the team! Umm honestly though if you dont Get @ least one of these tells aday then You are not doing your job..

Now honestly Im not one to try and one up someone However... You dont achieve True greatness until That same person that is going to report you Calls you some dirty names then you turn around and report them
*Note* Sometimes you need to bait them into a fight...

But Ya man Those tells are awesome and they range from OMG thats cheating to Umm Ya My friends friend is a Gm so im gonna tell him!

Do you ever get the feeling that the people who warn you that it's "illegal" don't really care if it is or not, they're just hoping to scare you off?

It reminds me of the people who are really angry over being rolled in BGs, so they go to the forums and claim that they are glad that they have a life unlike that multiboxer who never leaves the basement etc etc. There was one of those on the general forum today, trying to convince everyone that he wasn't really pissed about it, that he really really was laughing at that no-skill sunlight-hating loser who repeatedly fried him to a crisp. Honest, he wasn't bitter or anything. Really.

That's another reason that I've stopped responding to them, because there's really no need to. You can read the anger in their posts. That and a cup of water can sustain me for a long time.

I know what you're saying but it seems most of the time when I point that out, it's lost on the person. They're like "wtf u talkin bout momma's boy?"

Here is my delema, I played till 80 no problems few mentions of no life etc... (of course when i explain that I am playing as much as them therefore they have no life it just does not compute).Well afer hitting 80 I decide its BG time for my crew (4 Shammies). Of course I roll in with crap gear for PVP and do ok in some area like AV of course (Alliance) but in AB etc.. we get our usual butts handed to us. Of course when this happens I am the instant scape goat. I even was harrased for my gear at the get go and explained hell I just 80 how do i get the points to get the gear your bitching about (chicken and egg thing). I try to explain that I need to play to get my gear to be able to survive but thats not acceptable to them. Its really getting old. I wish there was a way to ignore certain peeps in a /BG channel but I guess for now I will have to suffer through it

Switch the BG channel off... you already know what to do and if they're bitching at you then they're not going to listen, so don't listen to them :)

I refuse to read trade chat anymore. Every time I glance at it, i feel my IQ drop. Everything from one level 80 calling another a nerd (pot and kettle anyone?) to these guys who talk bout sex, drugs, women and any of a dozen other topics as if they are experts, and yet they are in WoW at least as often as I am. Considering I have a wife and kid, and work 10 hours a day, I'm not on that often. I'm thinking if you are on WoW 12 or more hours a day like some of these "super cool" trade chatters, you probably don't have much exposure to any of the topics you claim to be an expert on. Multibox haters are the same. Right before the expansion came out, on Stormscale I was actually getting more curious tells then negative ones, from people asking me what addons I was using to even just a simple "Multibox?" tell.

Anyway, the point of that ramble up there is that if someone is level 80, on the same server as you, and on as often as you are, and they're trying to imply your life is in any way lacking something, they aren't worth the time it takes to LOL at them.

As for chat channels, I turned those off four years ago, after about 10 minutes of reading it. There was nothing that I wanted to read, and it would just get in the way of the stuff I did want to read. I have yet to have any reason to miss any of the chat channels. I know that some people keep Trade on, but what has happened is that the retards who infest General chat have moved into Trade because they know they can cause even more annoyance there.

Other than that, I am really REALLY good at ignoring people. And I don't mean adding them to my ignore list or using an addon to block them. I just read their first message and if it's not worth my time, I do not reply. Very few people will carry on after two or three attempts without a reply. They are trolling for a reply and to have some fun at your expense or to puff up their ego by "showing that kid who is who". When they don't get a reply, they lose interest and go find someone else. The only time I'll do anything is if they're stupid enough to swear at me, at which point I still don't reply to them, but I will report them. That has to piss them off more than I can even imagine.

I'm actually starting to get disappointed. Not one threat of being reported yet. Only been multiboxing for about 5 months now, though.

Only got one person to give me a "botter", then "u no uber botter". I responded "you're right about that".

On the other hand, I've had about 3-4 people ask for more information about how I do it, or assisting other people trying to figure out how to set it up. I think I've had a mild reception because there's at least one other more prominent (and obvious) multiboxer on my server/faction, using the trademark variations of the same name for each character. I seem to encounter more people doing it as time goes on, so I think most people are wising up to it being at least accepted, even if they don't like it. I love getting people asking "can you guys help me/us?" I always try to help if I can, help spread the good word of boxers.

I like how the people have this attitude like they are righting the wrongs of the world by reporting multi-boxers, but in the end its more like predigest because they don't like players that are different then they are.

Pretty sure he meant prejudice, but the idea that you can pre-digest someone in the game is more entertaining. That's how a fly rolls.
