While grinding dailies with my shaman team, I thought about this macro, which turned out to work great. Basically, it eases applying flameshock for the initial cast:
/castsequence reset=target/combat flame shock, lava burst, null
/castrandom lava burst, lava burst, chain lightning, lightning bolt
It will only run the castsequence once, but continue the castrandom loop unless you switch targets. The castseq-lag doesn't apply here, because flameshock is instant and we need to wait for GCD before casting anyway :-)

Oh, also it should be noted that this macro DOES NOT WORK in macaroon. You have to create the macro in the standard wow-interface and drag it to the macaroon bar (so it's mapped as an action button and not as a macro).
How do your reapply your flame shock?

With mouse5, but the initial application was the one that annoyed me the most, since only bosses will last more than 18 secs :)

imo its not even worth doing flame shock on outdoor trash, I just hit em up with a lvb/lb (random) and they are almost always dead after 1 cast :)

I tried this and it works great, thanks heaps. The flame shock then random cast sequence works well. If a trash mob doesnt need a flame shock then nova totem and chain lighting plus death and decay usually takes out those mobs anyway, but this macro works wonders for dps on things like boss fights.
First boss I try is the snake boss in gundrak, for the first time my guys broke 2000dps - well 1 did, the other 2 were at about 1800/1900, but dps is up about 300 from before plus its easy to manage, applying a flame shock when it runs out isnt hard.
Thanks heaps for the tips
