Well, my Druids are finally 80 as well as my Shamans, and I was wondering if anyone else has 2 teams?

There must be someone, who had two teams at 70 at the start of wrath, as I got my druids to 80 from nothing and I took a long break between my shamans and druids, plus the holidays I was in vacation mode.

anyway, anyone else out there with some options at 80 yet?

My pally + 4 shaman group has been 80 for awhile and my 5 dks are at 70 looking to get about a level every day or two until 80.

As per signature...

Very slow because I hate questing, well I mean not the first time but the 20 times after doing the same thing :p.

So, what I did, leveled and geared up to max pre raid Pala+4 Shaman, second group only do instances and only on rest xp and DK quests a lot on solo, boosted in group quests by main team as well as in instances when all quests acquired.

Slow and painfull, want to ten box again soon :/

No, but I just finished getting four accounts with one of everything above 60. Do I get a cookie?

Still working on the fifth, I guess. But that one is only two shy if I decide to finish it.

Gratz on two teams at 80.

I'm Interested though - what options does it give you that one team of 80's doesn't?
Essentially you can play a team of 5 druids, 5 shaman or a mixture of the two.
You can run instances and heroics and do battlegrounds and arena.

I guess the only real option you have is that you could try to 10 man some raids - if you have 10 accounts of course, or try stealth runs somewhere.

I'm guessing that those with only one team at 80 (I'm not one of them unfortunately - but I have been concentrating on solo play til recently and did change faction) are concentrating on gearing them and clearing as many instances and heroics as they can.

I have my druids on 70.5 now i started WotLK yesterday with them.

I already have my shamans on level 80.

Im going to make my shamans pvp only since i cant do HCs with 5 shamans, so i just do arena and BGs on them and dailys for money.

Gonna dualspec my druids to: 1 resto 1 tanko and 3 balance. I then have 10 chars to do dailys with per day PLUS i can do heroics aswell as pvp on my druids.

I don't even have my main at 80 yet, despite getting WotLK on release day (that's saying a lot considering the amount of time I spend playing). Besides the odd quest in northrend being hilarious (D.E.H.T.A. + murlock disguise), I got bored with there being so many of the same old thing, and XP gains being even slower than 60-70 (pre-nerf). Kind of sucks that I transferred away from my raiding guild, so don't have anyone to level with.

The way the DKs were progressing they looked ready to overtake my main and be my first at 80, but I've put them on hold until I can get 2 more up to the same level. First I've got to decide what classes I'm going to get to 55 so I can make DKs. Probably 4x druids to go with the one I've already got, although it's about time I did a high level mage (might do one alongside the 30 paladin I've got left after I got a rogues to 30 to use grant levels). At least this time I'll have my 73 warlock available for boosting the druids to 55, instead of my 66 hunter, so I should be able to do more of it in instances (and maybe towing 4x healers around will make most of Northrend a lot easier too, even if I am pulling everything in sight).

[edit] with 3.0.8 nerfing Dancing Rune Blade so it doesn't work with Army of Dead I've lost a lot of motivation in getting my DKs to 80. I guess I'll just have to settle for 50 ghouls :(

Yea i got my dks almost 76, shamans and 1 druid at 70. Like everything else i dont know what to do questing now sux because of the collection quests. Unless your just gonna run mostly instances with here and there questing it takes forever. Mostly cause if you do all questing your almmost stuck doing collection quests times 5 and that really slows down shit grrrrrr. Idk i think imma get these 5 to 80 boost my resto druid in nothing but instances then work on my shamans doing instances/quests.

I just started on Mag in September, but I'm doing pretty well.

Team 1: Prot pally, holy priest, balance druid, ele shaman, demo lock - Level 80
Team 2: Prot pally, holy priest, balance druid, frost mage, BM hunter - Level 80
Team 3: Prot pally, resto shaman, demo lock, ele shaman, BM hunter - Level 74
Team 4: Prot warrior, resto shaman, ele shaman, demo lock, BM hunter - Level 74
Team 5: Holy pally, BM hunter, demo lock, balance druid - Level 67 (going to add a DK for a different tanking experience)

Why a number of teams? Lots of options. Can switch in/out badly geared with better geared as needed when running 5-mans to gear anyone up. It's fun trying out different class combinations. It is easy to make 2500g in a day just doing dailies. It's nice being nerf-proof. I can solo 25-mans in a month or two (um... not really).

And most importantly, with 10 (soon 20 or 25) toons getting the mysterious egg every week, I'm bound to get some free drake mounts. ;)

But my biggest accomplishments over the last few months have nothing to do with WoW - my boss sees me as a top performer and have a happy wife!

I didn't have two teams ready at 70 when I started WOTLK, but I now have one team at 80 with full heroic gear and a second team at 71. All 10 characters have grand master professions, too, which is a pretty big deal in my mind. It took a lot of work for that. I will be there soon. :)

Congrats, by the way. Can you 10 box them?

I'm hoping some of those duplicates are the same toon... Otherwise, why so many prot paladins ;)

I plan on keeping my teams as is until 80 then experimenting with swapping out. I think prot paladin, holy priest, and any combo of my dps casters (mages warlocks, druids, shaman) I could keep a pretty good rotation going. And I also plan on running a second tank/healer.

And once I've figured out some of the instances, and geared up a few key toons, I can sub out one or two to gear em up (i.e. when DPS facerolls stuff, swap healers, when healer is OP, swap tank, when tank/healer are OP, put in the crappy casters, etc)

And I have a happy wife too, so that's an accomplishment! There is a reward for that one, but I don't go into details....

I like to see my teams as I saw individual characters. Playing my 4 x Hunter + 1 x Druid team (level 79 at the moment) is a very different gameplay compared to my 4 x Shaman + 1 x Paladin group (level 66). Various teams = different gameplay = different goal = more fun ! :)

My third team will be holy trilogy (1 x Paladin+ 1 x Priest + 3 x Mage). I also have a 5 x Arcane Mage team that was a lot of fun to RAF to 60, not sure I will go further though, probably no time.

I will perhaps give a try at 10-boxing someday.

10 Characters at 77 at the moment, but I'm more of a Journey over the Destination type of guy, so I've been clearing out EVERY zone and all their collection quests as I go along. 77 after clearing Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, and Dragonblight and only a quarter of Grizzly Hills? I should be rolling in quests for gold once I hit 80. Of course, I'll need all that gold because I'm looking at gobbling up a LOT of Titansteel for weapons and armors

Nope, no duplicates - how would I run instances with all my teams without a tank (mainly prot pallies) for each?

As for combinations, I think prot pally, holy priest, ele shammy +2 other ranged DPS is working out best for me. I like adding the ele shammy just in case my tank takes a big hit or something - I have a button I can spam that continues holy priest Greater Heal casting but adds ele shaman Lesser Healing Wave casting. That Lesser Healing Wave hitting quickly before the big heal from the priest hits has saved my butt a number of times.

And I have a happy wife too, so that's an accomplishment! There is a reward for that one, but I don't go into details....

Do you get an achievement for "executing" that reward a number of times? I think my friend got that achievement and now he gets woken up in the middle of the night and has to share his house with someone else for the next 18 years!

My 5 shaman are lvl 80 and almost fully pvp geared. Arena is so broken!! Pisses me off.

My other team is Pally, 3 Mages, and a Druid. They are lvl 74 right now and I have cleared UK, Nexus, and Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom.

I cant wait for the death and decay fix. Losing control over 5 shaman from 1 or multiple death and decay really sucks.

3 Shammies + Resto Druid hit 80 a while ago {husband plays the 5th in my groups}
3 hunters + Holydin hit 80 last week sometime.

Had kind of a big gap between the 2 sets since the hunters were only like 40ish when Wrath hit. Leveled them as a 5-hunter team until 60, swapped one out at 61 for a rogue and another out at 63 I think for a balance druid {pushing those 2 up to 70 for professions stuff} before finally catching them up to my holydin and my husband's tankadin.

We only PvE, so we were looking to cover our bases for tanking and healing. Two of our friends also multibox and they have warrior and priest covered, plus whatever DPS they have, so hopefully we'll have a good mix for any given situation once we start raiding. :)

Frankly I can't even see myself getting my main team from 73-80.

Levelling right now feels to me like running up a hillside with a horse on your back while someone at the top rolls tyres down into your nuts.

I stink at WOTLK instances, the quests are driving me crazy and I'm starting to question whether this is providing me with any fun at the moment.

Sorry, bit of a downer that one, just getting it off my chest - gratz to those fighting the good fight and having a ball though.

I had 17 level 70s pre-WoLK and I just can't stand WoLK questing and really can't picture myself doing another team all they way up.
WoLK questing while mboxing is like 1/5 the fun instead of 5x the fun in pre-WoLK.

I'm not worthy!

My main group is 80 prot pally (geared for 10 mans), 80 Holy priest (nearly geared for 25 mans), and an arcane mage (not really even heroic geared yet)

Second team is still kinda out there:
79 rogue (3 bars.... so close), 80 resto druid, and well... the same mage tags along with them right now. Got a 60 shammy who was granted the 29 lvls so she has no gear and hasn't even been trained or spec'ed yet.

I've also got DKs on each of my three accounts, but I only ever bothered to get them out of the phased starting area... don't like playing them so they'll just be overgeared bank alts.

For me, the second team was more about having options... option to fill any single role for a run for my guild (have tank, 2x heals, spell dps and mele dps available) as well as for the professions. Have a max miner/max eng, a 443 chanter / 440 tailor, 420 JC/ max alch, max herbal / 430 inscriptions, and max skinner, 420 LW

The only profession I really need to level is a blacksmith now. That way, I've got the class rolls and professions all covered.

dinged a while ago on my death knight/4 druids after RAF ended successfully (tons of teams on a couple ofservers). Having a tank makes a huge difference o.0. It seems so wierd to me that pve is considered so much more important for getting gear. Getting the honor gear with heroic badges is going to take very little time compared to getting them with honor, it's going to be depressing to have my druids geared way better than the shamans so soon.

Didn't notice this post before, but yes, I have 2 groups at level 80 along with 32 shamans at level 70. When will I work on the shamans again? not sure, right now, I'm having much more fun with 2 groups of level 80s doing Wintergrasp and battlegrounds. I might end up getting back to leveling the shamans when patch 3.1 is released with the multi-character loot option. Without it, doing quests that don't have a collection quest in the line still just takes too long to find them in Wrath of the Lich King.

I took my Pally tank to 80 I get burned out quickly leveling 5 boxing. So I decided to level them one at a time which suits my style. I am 5 boxing primarily for instance runs the grind to get there is painful.
