Has anyone defeated this boss since they removed the ability to line of sight insanity? If so, please provide any possible pointers.
I got to him for the first time last night after steering clear of this instance for some time and gave it several tries but no luck. I think with some macro changes and possibly even spec changes, I would have better luck but figured someone on here could maybe lead me in the right direction.
I run pally tank, resto shaman and 3 elemental shaman.
Thanks for any advice.

I've only run the instance solo since I can't yet kill prince on my team, but the way I did it on the last boss was just to let 2 DPS die before his first insanity -- tank, healer, and 1 DPS makes it a lot easier. I've also read a strat where if your entire team can heal, just heal for 3 minutes during insanity, since the adds all despawn after 3 minutes.

With your setup just drop mana spring and nature resistance with all shamans. Then just refresh watershield (!) and spam lesser healing wave during insanities.
With the pally kill the mobs, and then the pally will land in another shamans insanity. Heal the pally with that shaman and just continue refreshing water shield and lhw.
After some minutes the insanity will end and the clones despawn.

Yeah, last night was only my second try on Prince. After the first wipe thanks to Embrace of the Vampyr I set my dps up at kind of a V but positioned where they could each fire towards one another as to break Embrace. I sat my healer in the middle of this V, again, so the dps could break Embrace. The target of Embrace will die if you cant dps Prince during this ability as the only way to stop it is to deal 40,000 damage to Prince. Unfortunately, the target of Embrace cannot be healed at all. As for the fire balls, I have the ability to drop 4 healing stream totems as well as use fire resistance and throw up 4 chain heals so this may not work for you since I don't know what your team makeup is.
As for Herald, I'm assuming you meant you let 2 DPS die when you did it on regular or did the group you ran solo with agree to let 2 DPS die? As for the healing suggestion, that is kind of what I was suggesting with my macro/talent changes. Currently my 4 shaman are set up to cast Chain Heals on themselves but I may need to change that to Healing Wave for this encounter for the bigger heal since the Chain Heal obvisouly isn't jumping around during this phase and maybe even change my spec to help with interruptions. 3 minutes is a long time though and would definatley present mana problems especially if I happen to get insanity twice.

Combined with what I said above I may have to give this another shot. Having the clones heal themselves/each other doesn't help much either though, lol.

Mana is no problem at all. I can spam lhw for ever if I just refresh watershield after every lhw (or every other) cast. I have no cast interruption talents. Keeping them alive is really no problem at all, just use lhw and water shield.

Before I even knew about the los method(and before it was fixed) I beat him on normal and heroic letting 1-3 of my dps die during the first insanity and then letting them stay dead until after the second insanity then ankhing/druid res/keep hugging the ground. My tank can kills her adds easy and my healer can sustain himself until they're all gone. It's not pretty but it gets him killed.
I haven't tried this, but if you're healer's clone is giving you problems then supposedly running your healer away from the group before an insanity will make his clone spawn far away and give you a few bonus seconds to kill the others without them getting healed.

I just did this on normal with my 74 pally, 3 mages, and druid healer. What I did was tank and spank until insanity. Once he did insanity I spammed arcane explosion on the mages. After the mages killed everyone with AE I made focus one of my mages and nuked the rest down. I kept spamming wild growth on my druid. Eventually everything died. It took me two insanity phases to kill him. I guess having aoe on that fight really helps. I doubt it will work in heroic because the mobs have 12k health. My arcane explosion hits for about 700 damage at lvl 74.
