I leveled my 2 DKs to 80 and got bored with PVP. I was done with raiding back in BWL. Being a slave to raid times kills RL. I see people are running 25 man pugs and have attitudes about handing out gear. OMG YOU DIDN'T DO 2K DPS NO LOOT FOR YOU. So I'll skip that. Leveled my warrior from 70 to 73. Meh... Most of the community is filled with poison so reading the forums or hanging in D sucks. I just can't find any enjoyable reasons to log in anymore.
When is Diablo 3 coming out?

Games eventually get old. It's inevitable. That's when you stop playing. :)

DITTO!
When pugs get elitist you have to laugh. I see it happening with vault. The most easy raid ever made. I am curious about the new old republic mmo. I was a swg fan until they ruined it. My goal right now is to do heroics lvl 80. Once I do that for awhlie I will prob grow tired again. PVP with the shaman is a waste but I had to gear them up. Leveling a group of dk's sounds fun that may keep me busy.
The Problem im having at the moment is that im capped at how good my gear can be. By this i mean that Emblems of Heroism only give a few peices of decent gear, Same with 10 man raids. Im still only working towards sub par gear compared to someone who pugs naxx 25 and gets valor badges and gear.

I had a pug demand my stats/specs for a Naxx 10 pug...
So I linked them my stats... and didn't hear anything...
...then I linked them my Twilight Vanquisher achievement... and they started to offer me money if I joined their pug.
IMO, try to find a guild that will take you to Naxx 25 if you can't get a PUG. That way you can link your achievement to pugs later and shut them up about you not being able to pull your weight.

My solution was to make a serious 10 man boxing team and make each character have full professions and have 2x heroic geared teams before I step foot into them. I don't think I will ever get bored until the next expansion, although we'll see how it goes. :-)
I've left wow from boredom on a couple occasions, I only really started back the this time because I decided to see how much 5 man content I could do by myself. As of right now I haven't even gotten my PVE team completely leveled and geared let alone started on working out a way to get a decent arena rating boxing. I would say this is the least bored I have been with wow in quite awhile.

Yeah I must admit I hit that stage several times.
What I started to do was I organize a Pre-Bc and BC raiding team made a post on the forums, advertised a bit in LFG etc. Made our own channel called "OldRaids". Soon there were people joining it nonstop.
We basically cleared every instance out there. ZG,AQ20,MC,BWL,AQ40,Onyxia,Kara,MAg,Gruul,SSC,TK,H yjal,BT and a bit of SWP.
This I found alot of enjoyment from and started to do it weekly, started collecting all the different tier sets. I'm even working on Sulfuras , Hand of Ragnaros on my paladin (Level 60 legendary). I just need the eye of sulfuras then its mine!
Anyways the other day some friends and my self decided to step it up a notch. We all rerolled alts (or joined on already bade alts) and are leveling to 55. Once at 55 we will take turns running those alt through places like Zg, MC, AQ40 etc for gear.
Level 55 alows us to be able to gain xp from killing bosses without leveling us above 60. Also being in a raid group cuts xp gained by alot.
After that we will get some pvp gear and do AV etc together - enjoying the life of pre-bc again.
This is really taken off well, we have about 25 people now and we are all eager to hit 55-60. Our first raid is this weekend :)
Anyways this is on Stormrage Alliance (US) if anyone wishes to join me. - Can wisper Ruinic of Nhanced.
Peace.
I got bored twice.
First time, I stopped for about 3 months, and came back for BC. I dual-boxed the content, levelled some alts, and got bored again.
Second time, I stopped for over 6 months, and came back for WotLK. My goal is to see end content for the first time. I'm not there yet (my highest group is level 77), but being able to actually do instances is a blast. If I get bored, I will stop playing again, but that's not for tomorow, too many things to do, to many places to visit and challenges to tackle. I stopped doing PUGs during the first year of WoW, and will never go back to that. Playing 5 characters opens so much content it's almost scary :)
Very happy gamer here.
If you are bored, take a break, and come back later, or not.

I'm anxiously awaiting Diablo 3 as well. Not because I don't like WoW, but because it looks like it has the potential to be fast paced and require enough attention to detail that playing a single character is fulfilling instead of the normal 2,2,2,2,4,2,2,2,2 gameplay you get with WoW.

with 6 teams to level/gear i see no way on earth i could ever 'get bored'. is that all you have is one team of dks? roll some druids and have fun again.

I'm actually getting a little bored. Maybe bored isn't the right word...not sure how to describe it, but I'm just not feeling the desire as much to play WoW as I have the last few weeks. I'm considering canceling my 4 slave accounts to save some money and just solo boxing for awhile until I have the desire to multibox again. I kind of want to get my druid from 70 to 80 (my first WoW character that I still have that has always been my main until I started multiboxing) - hes been feral for almost 4 years, tempted to respec him to moonkin after I get some northrend gear because I've never been a moonkin before, but now Feral seems to have gotten a huge buff so maybe I should just say that way.
Then I could also spend some time solo tanking naxx in pugs or for guilds with my DK since hes probably naxx capable now (>540 def, 28k hp unbuffed, 18.5% dodge, 18.5% parry). Anyway, I haven't made a decision yet - if nothing else I'll probably do a couple weeks of dailies first to store up a ton of money, but maybe I'll regain interest shortly (it hasn't disappeared its just not as high right now). But who knows, maybe tonight or tomorrow I'll get a chance to play again and enjoy trying out a new heroic or two, etc.

When is Diablo 3 coming out? :love:Yeah, got very bored too. Which is why I started RAF all over again so I can try out interesting teams I never quite had to the time to level last time I did RAF.

If you haven't played it yet, that's exactly what it is... 4 hotkeys, over and over. I played at Blizzcon and was underwhelmed. It was my least favorite of the 3 demos. I will still buy it and play it, but when it becomes old after the first week I will have my WoW accounts waiting for me with open arms.

Well, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I'll remain hopeful. I mean, it WAS just a demo, and people have been playing WoW for so long I'm hoping there's an old-habits-die-hard portion in your analysis.

Don't get me wrong, I think it'll be a great game. I just know that I beat the first two Diablos within the first weekend they came out. I know that the replayability is where it's at, but I tend to get bored with it. I'll be the first one to jump ship as soon as a better game comes out. Here's to hoping that SW:TOR is a worthy competitor.

I played since 2004 (yes, when original WoW released) until I quit in 2005 when I hit 60, because I was intimidated by the whole prospect of Raids, pvp rank grinding (back then) etc.
I rejoined recently (August 2008) and have had more fun ever since, especially if I don't have the goal of being uber / epicced. I just enjoy the game as it is, trying to have 1 character from every class at 80 thanks to RAF bonus, occasionally running heroics with RL friends and then talking about the bad tank or that huntard via private tells lol.... it's fun if you've taken a break

I find myself hoping D3 has a more "in the action" approach to gameplay. Log in, kill some things for an hour, get some loot, log out, where as in typical MMOs you spend a fair bit of time preparing or leveling or traveling or any number of other things. I just hope it doesn't take a "get to cap, then the game begins" approach.

I can't get bored of WoW for some reason. I have taken 2 breaks, one was right after we cleared BWL. I managed 100% attendance in a hardcore raid guild from day 1 of ZG til the first full clear of BWL. They demoted me from 'Healing subgroup lead officer' to 'Priests lead backup' which was like a 3 spot demotion in both authority and in position for gear because I told them I wanted a 2 week break before starting AQ. That was the sign to me that I had lost my mind playing this game and I quit. Never raided in BC to get a break and now I find myself swimming in things to do in Northrend.
Granted, I am the jerk that asks for minimum output/stats in 10 man PuG's and honestly it's because the difference in quality enjoyment of the run between 1800 DPS players and the 2200 min we require is a few hours and a whole lot less stress. However once I know you or let you in the raid I don't care how bad your performance is you get loots like everyone else and we get on with it.
Also, I razzed one of my friends about his rogue the other day and he said "like you could play a rogue". That was maybe a week ago.... My rogue is level 76.
Ya, I'm that guy.

I'm kinda bored with wow, so taking a break too.
Not really playing any online games at the moment, just downloading ebooks or watching movies.
Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2, will both be excellent diversions from whatever I'm doing when they come out.
Chances are good, I'll be wowing when they do.
