Alrighty, well I have been busting my ass 12 hours a day (go go christmas break) trying to get my team finished off. I started on Dec 5th, and my toons are all now 78.6. However... my guild starts their first raid tomorrow, and I'd really like to make it if possible. Not quite as young as I used to be, so an all nighter just isnt going to happen, but raids tomorrow night.
I have completed Borean Tundra, Fjord, Grizzly, and Shalozar (99% of the quests in each zone) I did some in Zuldrak (including the arena) and most of the dungeon quests. I still have ice crown, storm peaks, and crystal song... My question to you fellow boxers... what zone out of those three would be the fastest for me? Im averaging about 10 - 15 hours a level atm sadly which Im sure is rather slow... but Ill only have about 8 hours tomorrow to hit it before the raid, so Im hoping one of the three has a large number of non collection quests that can be hammered out in quick timing.
Anyways... appreciate the help.
Icecrown, pretty much nothing but kill quests there and by doing quest you unlock dailies so you can redo that quest (since all teh dailies are easy). My average leveling time way about 8-9 hours but in Icecrown it went a ton faster to about 6-7 hours per level.

I've done some of icecrown which like Zal says, is a lot of kill quests, which makes for nice exp, however i'm stuck with only collection quests left at the minute after doing the first few starter ones, so back to standing around afk without having the energy to quest... !
I found karazhan gives exp at 78 still though. 900xp a trash mob or so, in a raid with 5 people.

If you want to raid you may also want to consider just leveling one toon to 80 tomorrow and joining the raid, unless you are pretty experienced with naxx (I assume thats the raid; voa and Obsidium Sanctum can each be done in 15-20 mins) you will want to take one character in first just to learn all the encounters. In 25 man you can definitely multibox most if not all of them, but it will involve a lot of wiping if you don't know every fight from a technical perspective first.

Icecrown. Tons of kill quests, plus quite a few 5-man group quests. There's also the Ebon reputation to build on. Not to mention there's a ton of ore, herbs, cloth, and skins there.
However, don't neglect the 30-quest chain in Storm Peaks to make the Sons of Hodir reputation available - that's where you'll end up getting the shoulder enchants to replace the scryer/aldor rep shoulder enchants. Then get ready for a lot of dailies to get to exalted.

you need to open up the Argent Crusade and Ebon Blade rep lines. The Ebon Blade has 5 boxer friendly and one boxer non-friendly dailies which give XP every time until you are 80.
The Argent Crusade cannoneer trinkets are usually pretty nice, you get them from one of the latter quests there.
Icecrown can be a be-och to move around in though, lots of phasing which usually has me cussing like a sailor, but the quests are still pretty good.
