I've spent a lot of time reading this site before ever signing up. I have 2 Unholy DKs that just hit lvl 71. Leveling have been ridiculously easy. Thanks to all the contributors and posters. It has been and still is a blast.
With 2handers and ghouls they just mow down anything from 4-6 mobs 1-2 lvls higher to elites and players 2-3 levels higher without much trouble in Northrend quest greens. My setup is pretty simple using 2 pcs. I use HotKeyNet to send keys 1-5 (and modifiers) to other pc for follow/assist, skill rotation, etc macros. Also the numpad on the main PC is mapped for individual skills in case I need to get in a quick Death Strike or Rune Strike or to call the gargyole. DPS is a steady 60%/40% split while questing.
Now I'm wondering what they can really do. With practice, I see PvP in my future. But can I run instances and still be viable taking up 2 dps slots? Would I be more viable as a tank with BringMyOwn-DPS and PUG for the rest? I think I have seen some YouTube of lvl 80 DKs soloing some outland instances...not sure. Since I joined WOW after BC came out, I really haven't done any of the pre-BC stuff. How far could 2 level 80 DKs go? to ZulGurub? Kara? BT? 8|
Anyone else doing only 2 DKs?

Anyone else doing only 2 DKs?What you can do depends on how good you are, not just level and gear.
This is multi-boxing - give stuff a try, and if you fail, figure out how to make it work. :)
When you hit 80 and get some decent gear, go hit up Ramparts, and start working your way up the instance ladder. Make your first goal getting all the keys, which requires honored with the appropriate rep, which is easy.
Don't worry about Black Temple, it's doubtful that's dual-boxable at 80, unless you're full T7/8 - even then, maybe. Kara is probably as high as you can go, and that will be a challenge for you that will keep you busy a while. Practice for it with the lower level dungeons. You can probably handle Ramps and Blood Furnace half asleep, Heroic is a little more a challenge.
You can pug, some players join groups with two, and get away with it. I group with my 3 once in a while, and nobody ever complains that I'm the only one talking - since we're all guilded, they probably think we're talking in guild chat. :)
Nobody talks in PUGs anymore, anyway. Go for it. :)

Thanks for the feedback!
I think I have a good idea what to shoot for. I will definately try to get all the Outland 5mans on normal. I will probably hit 74-75 and start doing Northrend instances for better gear then maybe go back and try Outland heroics. I think it will be pretty obvious that I'm dual-boxing since the names are very, very similar; maybe the extra levels will make me more attractive to PUGs. Most of the reason I'm dual-boxing is because I hate wasting most of my gaming time spamming for PUGs and I never could find a decent guild that would help me get some basic gears...then they'd complain that I'm not geared enough to run with them....Zzzzz.
Anyways, I think I'll have my hands full trying to get to Kara with this duo.
I'm still interested in other's experiences, thoughts on what they are doing with only 2 DKs.

This weekend's accomplishments for Duo-DKs:
1. 1st Boss in UK on farm.
I decided to try him for the Love Fool achievement item he drops. 2 x Army of the Dead to start the fight. He only got one frost tomb off. I had to reset and kill him again to get the item for both my DKs. Got bored after that and didn't try the second boss.
2. 4-6 in arena.
Not great but better than the 1-9 on my previous week. I killed a priest, pally team. I think I just caught them by surprise. They beat me 2 times after. I also beat a hunter, warrior team. I beat them, they beat me, then I got wise and burned down the warrior first and beat them 2 more times. The other 3 losses were to teams so good they didn't even get points for beating me. This is with the lvl 78 crafted pvp set. When I get my points this week I should have enough for 3 Savage Glad. pieces for each DK.
3. 2k DPS.
Finally broke 2K dps with my leader DK on 10man Vault. My secondary did a mediocre 1.4k dps. Not great but better than my previous Vault runs where I only got 1.3k on the leader and 900 on the secondary. 2k dps and i'm in lvl 78 pvp gears, not hit capped, not fully socketed. I think I might be ready to PUG some heroic 5mans. If a good dps is in the group, my secondary's dps shouldn't be too much of a prob. We'll see.
A few gear upgrades and maybe I can clear UK, break even in arena, and add couple hundred dps.

For grouping I would suggest filling the last 3 spots with friends or a PUG - at 70 I maxed out my shaman gear wise and then started playing my hunter again - I ran my own ZA and filled the other 8 slots with friends/PUGs - I was the healer on my shaman and DPS with my hunter - That paticular set up the hunter follows the shaman and I spam one key which randomly fired my shots, cool downs, beastial wrath, ect and over a couple of weeks my hunter was also maxed out with ZA gear.
When WOTLK came out I intended to level my hunter and shaman togather but I found my shaman getting ahead because I was often called to heal for a group that only had 1 spot open and I wanted to see the new content so my shaman got to 74 while my hunter remained at 73. After that I decided to try 5 boxing shamans - lately what I've been doing is running my 4 lower level shamans (L71 now) with a tank - so far I've only tried this with a DK pug and it didn't go so well - we wiped a lot since my shammies are elemental, but with some practice or one being resto I can do it.
