View Full Version : Setting up a new RAF account - Problems I encountered, and the solution.

I created another RAF account.

I upgraded the account to live, and put a subscription on it. I then tried to transfer a level 20 character to that account so it could be quick levelled with another.

No matter what I did I was told that the account it was transferring to did not meet the requirements.

After much frustration I have finally figured out what is wrong.

The transfer system looks at the type of accounts you have.

If you have a Wrath account you will need to transfer to a Wrath account, regardless of whether the character is a low level class that was available in the original warcraft.

If you have a BC account you could only transfer to a BC or Wrath account.

I upgraded my new account from old wow to burning crusade and was able to transfer a character from my last remaining BC account.

I thought I would just put a quick post on here, in case anyone is experiencing the same Cryptic error message (with an unhelpful help page).

Another problem with RAF is that the account is treated like a trial account in many respects for up to 3 days after it is created.

I initially thought it was the fact they thought it was a trial account, until I got the upgrade email.

Which then suggests that they have to check payment, but then Igot a subsequent email saying all was well.

Just glad I worked out the problem.

I have received this same error and haven't been able to figure out my problem. (I have not called Blizz yet) Both accounts are active and have been upgraded for some time now and both have identical information. Any thoughts?

Have they both been upgraded to the same level. e.g Both Burning crusade, or both Wrath of the lich king?
