I tried searching for the older thread relating to this command but was unable to find it.

After reading that thread i became determined to find out what mod it was that made this possible.
After going through most of my addons i worked out it is related to the quartz addon.
by enabling the quartz addon and the timer module /in works

For those that dont know this command allows you to specify when you would like to emote or say something. ( YOU CANT MAKE IT DO ANYTHING THAT MOVES YOUR CHARACTER...ie automation)

the way this command works is simple
/in (time in seconds) /(emote)(say)

So for example you would use.

/in 5 /say Hi
Which would make your character say hi. Can also be replace by /y etc.

Or we could use
/in 5 /e tells guy to go away
which would cause your character to emote "Pactys tells guy to go away"

Keep in mind you could of added a /targetexact character name to that point and just used /in 5 /bonk
Which would use the bonk emote on that character.

So...now you know what makes it work and how to do it. Have fun making your plays :)

For a longer example heres one of the first plays that i made

Pactys: /in 2 /say What the hell pact?
Pact: /in 4 /say what?
Pactys: /in 7 /say Stop stealing all the leather man, leave some for the rest of us!
Pact: /in 9 /say ...
Pact: /in 12 /say You know what....fine... Ill wait here while you skin it, then you can take it.
Pactys: /in 14 /say Good
Pactys: /in 18 /say umm....Actually..you can have it.
Pact: /in 22 /say idiot
Pactas: /in 25 /say Your such a whinger pactys...just go back to telling mobs they look fat in the mirror.
Pactus: /in 28 /say I agree
Pactas: /in 29 /say yep...more tanking less talking....go go
Pactus: /in 29 /laugh
Pactas: /in 30 /laugh
Pactis: /in 30 /laugh
Pactys: /cleartarget
Pactys: /in 32 /cry

Have fun :)

I don't have the Quartz addon, I don't even know what it is for, and the /in command works on my clients.

I remember reading on these boards that the function was introduced by a library (like Ace2, but I'm not sure) and that installing any addon built upon that library would activate the function.

ah...well there you go. I figured it was something like that.

quartz is just a cast bar addon, but by disabling most of its functunality im only using it for the /in command on my slaves anyway. My mains UI uses it fully though.

For Fun Macro: Conversation? ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=5503')

This was the thread that was active until 2 weeks ago. Check it out.

thats the thread i went looking for. Thankyou :)

At least now for new people ive given them the addon will work for sure.
Also once you enable just the core and timer features your using no memory features at all really if your memory conscious like i am ( 5 on single PC).

Has anyone asked a GM if using this stuff is acceptable?

Has anyone asked a GM if using this stuff is acceptable? It's been part of the ace library for years(only being removed lately because it was rarely used). If you read the terms of service anything allowed by the addons API is allowed until it's blocked(you won't be banned for a normal wow addon). I'm fairly certain if blizz had a problem with you getting a RP advantage like this they would take harsh measures immediately ;)

I would say anyone that has a problem with this either player or blizz staff really needs the stick removed from their nether areas.

Even with that said, there are quite a few people who need the stick removed ... so the next time I'm on for the three hours it takes to get a response, I'm opening a ticket to see if I can get a reassurance.
