I'm new to this whole thing, and have figured out most of what I need so far but there are a few things that I can't make work, so I ask a question: Is there a macro that will make your toon actually face its target before it casts a spell?
Normally it's not a problem, but if one of them gets pounded, I want to be able to make my Shamans turn around and heal my mains target.
Everything is figured but I can't make them turn around automatically.
Some help would be very much appreciated :)

When it happens to me, I usually run to the other side with the main so that the mobs follow the main, but the shamans merely "turn in place".

Sorry, but you cannot do this; you cannot use macros (or addons) to face, turn, move or stop following. You can use macros to start following.
When your slaves are following your main, like hendrata says, with practice you can use your main and run in circles around your slaves and have them turn on the spot. Because when they follow you, if your main is close enough they will not move, but will turn to face the main.
Another idea in order to get your slaves to face your main, is to use two keys. I'm going to use PageUp and PageDown as an example.
Map PageUp to /follow main. Map PageDown to walk backwards.
Now if your slaves are not facing your main, you can press PageUp (to start follow) and then quickly press PageDown (to stop follow by walking backwards). By getting the timing correct, you should be able to get it so your slaves turn on the spot to face your main.
Potentially, you can use this idea to face a target by replacing /follow main with /follow target.

Taking Jafula's idea and developing it a little more, I'd broadcast mouse clicks to the healer's healbot addon, which would be set only to change target, then use HKN to do something like this:
<Hotkey 1>
<toggle>
<send healer_pc>
<key 2> //follow target
<toggle>
<send healer_pc>
<key s> //move backwards breaking follow
<toggle>
<send healer_pc>
<key 3> // heal target
Now if my healer's facing the wrong way, I just target with the healbot and hit the heal key 3 times to get the healer facing the right way before healing.
Actually I'd probably have that on Shift 1, and just heal on 1, that way I can save time if the healer is already facing the right way.

I might be missing something here, but I'm pretty sure you don't have to face a target to heal it, it just has to be in range... 8|
Now for whacking a target or casting a non-channeled single target damage spell you're gonna have to go with the fancy keyboard tricks. Both methods above work pretty well with practice.

When one of my clones is facing the wrong way, it's usually because they are all in close quarters and hit a lag spike {example, running up on the Loken fight}. If that's the case, I can generally just make everyone move backwards, so the ones that were facing the right way just move away from the mob a bit. The one that was facing the wrong way now moves behind the mob and is facing the right direction again.
In wider locations, moving backwards allows me to easily see who is faced the wrong way and I can manually flip him around.
