So after 9 monthes of boxing it has come to an end for me, it has been relly funnry at times and fustrating sometimes aswell

at 70 it was relly nice to box, for pvp 40/0/21, funny and great , for pve even raids 41/0/20 be hit capped in pvp gear and abel to do same dmg as your guild mates, but now at 80 afer a hard grind im finding it abit boring to box

all classes can now aoe, so pvp is just not funny anymore, dont get me wrong here i didet start to box just to pewpew in arena, i only achives 1775 5v5 rating and thats less then i did the normal way whit shaman but still i had fun

So now that pvp isent funny anymore wats left if heroics and maybe raids if i would get hit gear, but still soloing heroics was fun in the start but is now trival.

So all in all i have just lost the interest in boxing.

But still thanks for all the help i have gotten on this side, and special thanks to keyclone for making it possibel

Sounds to me like you tried some (edit: level 80) arenas and got butt raped like the rest of us without a dedicated healer and good gear. The days of being able to solo arenas may be over. For the purist 5 boxer that may mean the end of wow.

Personally, I would pay extra to roll back to BC, stay 70 and roll in all the extra dungeons, spells etc. without the 10 lvls increase. Even though I am 80 with a winning arena record. To me the game has changed, adapt or quit they say.

I havent logged on in 2 weeks.

Its sad to see you go, but you're doing the right thing. Now you just need to find a new hobby :D

- my renewed interest atm lies in kayaking, I'm just waiting on two more paychecks to buy one lol

Anyway good luck with your newfound adventures :)

I think most of us find a break to be very good at some point. I stopped playing WoW for about 2.5 months starting in September. The game had gotten a bit boring and I figured I'd wait on WotLK, then realized that I didn't miss the game so I didn't play right away when the xpac came out. I just got back to multiboxing two or three weeks ago. So about three months without doing it at all. I still solo a lot and am just PLing through Outland, but it's fun again, and probably would not have been fun if I'd been doing it until now without a break.

I haven't played my shamans for a month now either. They're at 80 and i just don't feel like doing anything on them.

I dug up my old main, a feral druid (lvl 70, T5ish geared) and lvled him to 77 by now. I'm waiting what the next patch changes, if PVP is still foocked i'm quitting aswell.

I enjoy leveling up, for the new toys, but not so much the process of getting there.
I wasn't overly impressed with most of the WotLK quests initially, and without a tank on my preferred team, instances weren't a good option either.

I decided to level as many teams to 60 as possible, during the dwindling RAF period.
Towards the end of that, I was playing just to finish the teams and not waste the RAF, not so much because the game was fun.

Typically, because of seasonal work, I take about 3 months off over the summer and don't even use a computer.
This year, I decided to bring my computer with me, and played pretty much all day, one day a week (we work 6 days on, 1 day off).
I really got into multiboxing this summer, going from 2 accounts on 2 PC's to 5 accounts on 1 PC.
But, I didn't take my normal 3.5 month vacation from Warcraft.

The game has become a monotonous grind.
So I'm taking my break from it now.
Like you, if the game isn't fun for whatever reason, either take a break from it or change something to make it fun.
Because that's the whole point of playing a game; to have fun in your spare time.

Im having lots of funs in battlegrounds atm and me and my healer is realy starting to have fun in the arena aswell even with only 10 matches each week.

With 3.0.8 comming up and all the positiv changes for elemental along with.

Ret paladins damage while bubbled is now flat reduced with 50%. This is my biggest issue with retadins atm...
Death Knighs and theyr cover in fear glyph. scourge strike will get toned down (not sure if it was in 3.0.8 but i saw a blue post on wowinsider or whatever) :) True they do get a few buffs but hopefully this will benefit us.
The rogue issue get better with gear.

All im trying to say is that you cant join with greens/blues and expect great things anymore.

WoW Forums that way -------------------------> :D

Seriously though, things are pretty messed up in PvP now...but everyone (not just MB'ers) who's not a DK, Ret Paly, Mage or Rogue is on the receiving end of this. The insane burst will be nerfed eventually...PvP was pretty unbalanced when BC came out and Blizz did a reasonable job of balancing things out. Just give it time...

Cheers,

S.

Sad to see you go Roud. We had some nice games back in the days.

And Littleburst, when are you going to claim your 3.5k gold? :)
I've had the amount several times, but since you never come online I manage to spend it over and over.

yeah the aoe is just brutal now. even hunter volley is doing 2.5k a tick. DnD, Mind sear, divine storm that hits every for 7k, etc.
most people just aoe down my group these days, why even bother with direct damage
